Y'all think Square Enix will roll with Final Fantasy "XXX" when we reach 30?

I kind of hope they abandon numbers and just go with subtitles, similar to what Assassin's Creed did. AC4 had both a number and a subtitle, but then the next game was just Assassin's Creed: Unity.
I sure hope so; I already made the cover art, printed it out and put it in an empty game case and left it on a Gamestop shelf 17 years ago.
That and also by then they'll be owned by Microsoft and they would have restarted the numbering from "Final Fantasy Series I".

I don't think they get that far before the naming changes or the series sputters out. At the current realistic development rate FFXXX would be decades away.
But even if they do get to it, they would probably just roll with it. Super Bowl did XXX. The only one they moved away from numerals for was 50 because "L" just looks dumb and it's hard to design around. And Final Fantasy certainly won't get to 50 considering it took forty years to get to 15.

Well, FF1 came out 33 years ago and we're halfway to XXX. Assuming FFXXX comes out 40 years from now I would think many of us would still be alive to see it.
Exactly the same. I was thinking that I was 30 when FFXIII-2 hit.
Hopefully they *ahem* bring back the cast of Final Fantasy 7 for that one. Such a memorable cast has been sealed with a lock in all of our hearts.
