Well done, man. Ive just come off 0-K2 and need a break.I just did Yakuza 0-6. I am honestly glad it's a little further out from launch.
For a few weeks at least, Ive got 7 preloaded on my xbox and ready to go

That digital only upgrade path is some dodgy shit. If you buy the disc you're stuck with the PS4 version.
Is the PS4 digital going to work on the PS5 right away, just upgraded later, or will it not work at all on the PS5 until it releases?
Yeah, I'm not buying this digital. This is some BS.That digital only upgrade path is some dodgy shit. If you buy the disc you're stuck with the PS4 version.
In every time exclusive deal, both are to blame. This is a Sega decision. I don't know why everyone is blaming Xbox for this
"Could have been phrased better" lmfao
Yes indeed, wishing the series to die because it's delayed on ONE platform it's perfectly ok.
🤣😂"Thanks for supporting the franchise for it's entire lifespan, now eat shit!"
It's a silly thing to say clearly. But you latching onto it is also clearly for a reason.
Because PS4 disc will be -50% used by time this releases. That's incredible.. how the hell does the disc version not have a free upgrade yet digital does.
Somehow I doubt MS paid for less than 4 months of exclusivity, that hardly seems worth it. Especially considering it's launching on the PS4 in November in the west. I'm guessing it's like another poster said, there were no plans for an upgrade until MS came along and since they pushed for it the Series X version was prioritized and PS5 came second.
This is probably the exact reason. Fuck them lol.Yup, by March the disk version of the PS4 is going to be super cheap, can't have free upgrades on those.
no way this is a timed exclusive, anyone thinking that was the case is off base.

Definitely, there are very few winks and nods to older games, but the story is very self contained.I know this is the 7th game in the series but is it a good entry point for a newcomer? I could never get into the brawler aspects of the first 6.

Ah yes, the classic just under 4 month (or 112 day) timed exclusive. So Microsoft actually really did it with Yakuza 7 nex-gen console timed-exclusive.
Still give props to them.
Hope SEGA & Yakuza studio use that time-exclusivity money to good use, lol.
You don't miss the previous lead companies new platform launch for the series for many other reasons.
They made it on Series X, *something* has to be up on ps5 to be delayed, and I can't believe sega didn't have that many dev kits.
Utterly baffling and nasty overreaction.

this is such a shitty calculated move: the ps4 physical will be in the bargain bin in march everywhere. of course they dont want you to buy it cheap and get a free upgrade.
thats even worse than the timed exclusive deal.
Is the PS5 version being done in house at RRGS? I highly doubt they have no PS5 devkits.Maybe it's not timed exclusivity, but rather a Football Manager situation where they didn't have devkits?
