Living in the Bay Area, it's weird to hear people calling boba a fad. Rather, I'm seeing trends pop up within boba, like brown sugar and cheese foam.

I need recommendations for warm ones since it's starting to get cold. Anyone?
I meant flavor-wise.Ten Ren branded hot milk teas are great. 85C isn't bad either. Not too many places offer the hot versions, though.
trending again? where im from its been a staple since at least 2000. and thats here in the US.I don't understand how this become trending again. I swear it was the same shit as that "pearl tea" years ago.
Recently (within the last year or so) been going to a place called Tea Top that opened up a branch around where I live. Unique perk to this place compared to the others is that they offer more specific, Taiwanese sourced tea flavors such as Alpine Green or Sun-Moon Lake Red. While good cold, they become super fragrant when I get them hot, and like it during winter.
You can get no sugar.
It is. My mom gets hers with no sugar and grass jelly since she's pre-diabetic. (she then takes a few sips then passes the rest off to Dad)
Yes, the legit places will usually have scales by percentage on sugar and sometime ice levels.
Huh. I might need to check out a new spot or something, then. The ones I've been to didn't have that option. It is. My mom gets hers with no sugar and grass jelly since she's pre-diabetic. (she then takes a few sips then passes the rest off to Dad)
