I don't know about the lording over them part, the people around Rex did tell him to get a clue about the feelings of both Mythra and Pyra and Nia and Rex are said to have talked about the confession in the game. Can't say there wasn't speculation that Rex and Nia got together, and people did think Mio is Nia's daughter but i can't say anything about the timeline of things.

I don't really want to discuss the photo any more cause holy shit but I think there's a possibility the photo could serve to confirm a possibility that the kids are in the game.
There's a pretty good chance "M" was Nia's kid and while they haven't confirmed it there's a Consul member on the Keves side of someone that looks a helluva lot like Shulk and Fiora's descendant hell he's even standing next to the robot Queen in one of the Webms and I think he's the Consul member that's present on the robot queen twist
There's a female Consul member with red eyes that looks a lot like Pyra's and we even see in the cutscenes they show flashbacks of the crew fighting her and she uses a scepter that throws Fire at them. It's strenuous sure but there's a decent chance the Consul member is a clone or whatever of Pyra's kid who has it involvement in the story.
The only thing missing is that we haven't found a golden eyed Consul member who could've been Mythra's kid but they could still pop up at some point in the story. So if some of the Consul members are descendants of the previous game's characters I guess that's why they felt compelled to show the goofy baby photo cause those kids are important to XC3 in someway.
I guess at that point the question is if XC3 really does take place that far into the future after all of the original convergence point was during a time where the kids of Shulk and Fiora and Rex's family were still around

I'm just surprised you can't see how weird it is in general, instead of trying to come up with some reasoning for each single aspect of it.

My pre-spoiler speculation would have been that Pyra and Mythra were only temporarily around for the ending of XB2, and Nia's appearance in the xb3 trailers made me think she had more time with Rex.This is surprising but not revolting to me. This sci-fi- fantasy world with kingdoms and shit didn't necessarily have to adhere to modern real world traditions. I find it weird that old pokemon games straight up say the humans married Pokemon in the past, and it never comes up again in future games.

Watching the trailer i was also thinking the Consul was gonna watch in the theater as the party fails to save Mio again and again but this is pretty brutal . Still no sight of the Zohar yet? You'd think this whole loop business would come from that considering the whole endless recursion thing from the other Xeno games.

They're fictional characters lol. Their agency is coming from the person deliberately writing them to fawn all over the protag and then get pregnant with his children simultaneously. The picture lining them all up sitting beneath him while everyone else is standing, like they're his property, is just icing on the shit cake.

Rex living in a small village where he considers everybody family can be an indicator on his values. Japanese media obviously takes on the western definition of a harem. But of the characters that are involved i don't think that subservience is part of how these characters were written, and people are disagreeing on that part about XB2 in this thread. That this can only mean that is too surface level to me since there is little discussion of if these characters would act this way considering the past game, just blanket statement and that's the end for most people.
