AI? Sorry, when it comes to PC stuff I'm a bit behind the curve (always been on Consoles). What do you mean?
I am sort of perplexed as to why the official statement lists 12TF RDNA2 as "twice" as powerful as One X given it's architectural efficiency means greater than 2x real world performance over Polaris (GCN).
GCN on top.
Would love to hear about potential DLSS type acceleration/hardware.
Yup lol. Maybe not that high but some obscene number that makes no sense like 749.99$I am personally planning to expect to pay 799 - 899 for the new consoles in Canada, as the base price.
All Xbox One games, it sounds like, will be natively compatable at launch. Regarding 360 and OG Xbox games at the moment it's just the ones that already are apart of BC, however MS have said a number of times that the program will resume once the Series X launches and they'll continue to add new games to BC as time goes on.Backwards compatibilty info is still confusing, all games or just the ones that are already compatible with One?. Could we play PGR4, Outrun 2 on Series X?
AMD's equivalent to Nvidia's DLSS which has gotten really good with the second version (albiet two games using it)AI? Sorry, when it comes to PC stuff I'm a bit behind the curve (always been on Consoles). What do you mean?
Correct. At the moment it's just the ones that already are, however MS have said a number of times that the program will resume once the Series X launches and they'll continue to add new games to BC as time goes on.

He's going to need around 31 switches, and a lot of duct tape. 😋
Because you can be a more efficient 12tf GPU compared to an older architecture at 6tf, but both are still 6 and 12tf parts. The Series X might behave like a 14tf GPU from the older architecture but it would be false information to promote it as such.
from PS4 and Xbox one yes
RDNA 2 wasn't expected, was it?
All of this is seriously exciting news. Damn.
Games that are BC to Xbox One.Backwards compatibilty info is still confusing, all games or just the ones that are already compatible with One?. Could we play PGR4, Outrun 2006 Coast 2 Coast or some other not compatble games on Series X?
31 should do it, right?
Crossbuy is announced only for 1st party MS games. Don't expect other devs to widely support it.
Nvidia cards will sell regardless it is just a case of by how much more they do so than AMD.
OG xbox games in 8k should be trivially simple. I cannot image their being a realistic bottleneck anywhere. I dont expect Microsoft to actually do it though. 4k is already more detail than those games can really use.
12 TFlops RDNA2 is amazing.
I'm kicking myself for having to pick up a new gpu right now as the old one failed again.
shots. fired.
Anyway, I'm expecting $499 USD. Phil said some time ago they won't be out of position on power or price.
Nvidia can't compete with new consoles if they bring another disaster in perf gains like series 2xxx
I don't think so... If amd can delivery 12tflops on a console imagine what they will delivery on pc.Nvidia cards will sell regardless it is just a case of by how much more they do so than AMD.
A statement like, "The Series X features 12TF RDNA 2 GPU which provides more 2x the performance of 6TF One X and over 8x.... ...due to architectural efficiency improvements over last generation". That wouldn't be lie. That said, what is done is done and the proof is the pudding. We are going to have many tasty puddings.
