Halo had to be in the commercial as when you see master chief, you know it's Xbox.
You're right, however. I'm just sick of the un-delivery of Halo. But Xbox don't have any more icons. That better change this gen.
Xbox Definitely need more icons for their brand. Hopefully it changes, but we'll see.

Indeed. In terms of impact, though - I preferred the original game awards trailer with the lecture on dreams. If they can do that with more icons down the road it would be cooler.
With Bethesda, possibly. I don't think cars would really work as in my opinion, an icon is something like Mario, Sonic, or sackboy. Not a Ford F150 or a Ferrari.

Everyone has there own thresholds. It was so far from a gaming ad that if it wasn't for MC being their you'd have no idea what it was about until the text at the end that had to explain it to you.
I didn't feel awe at all, it was messy. The guy wasn't even gaming really.
