Jason on the RGB Xbox button on Elite V2. May be we will see it officially supported someday ? (would be great to have the color automatically matching the console's background)

I guess this is never getting fixed for me in the insider builds. Worked for months, then just stopped on my LG B6 OLED. They keep saying they see reports of it not working, but nothing is being addressed.

This is a nitpick, but why oh why, did they take away transparent tiles?

I have Master chief in the background but 1/3 of him is covered by tiles that you can no longer see through.

I'm in the Beta ring and yes, I have night mode.

I've activated night mode on my controllers and Series X with a piece of black tape for some time now....

... On the advice of a Microsoft support rep, no less.

How low down does the new option turn the controller / Xbox button lights? I had my elite series 1 down to the lowest if I recall and that was still kinda above where I wanted it.

You can turn both of them completely off.

Well that sounds great.

Are there levels (e.g. 1-5) or just 'on / off'?

Which controllers / consoles does it apply to? Series X / S / One X / One?
Yep, I believe there's 5 levels or so, with Off being the lowest level. I've only tried it on a Series controller so far on my Series X.

Wonderful!

I ask about the systems because I'm surprised they've kept it back as a feature, if dimming was an option all along.

I remember it being a legit selling point for the Elite controllers.

If my One X console / controller suddenly get the option then I'll be happy, but wondering why it took a while to arrive!

How is there no option to turn off the boot up chime? Every time it blows my ears out. Is there any news about this becoming an option?

Also, the HDMI CEC issue must be major one. It's been broken for many since launch.

  • Users will notice a new option to "View on Mobile" to complete certain actions in the Guide. When selected, a notification will be sent to the users' phone (if they have the Xbox App installed) to complete the action.

Fixes Implemented

Thanks to the hard work of Xbox engineers, we are happy to announce the following fixes have been implemented for this build:

Audio

  • Fixes to address users having no audio (such as Dolby Atmos) when booting up the console.
System

  • Various updates to properly reflect local languages across the console
    • Note: Users participating in Preview may see "odd" text across the console, for more information go here.

Known Issues

We understand some issues have been listed in previous Xbox Insider Release Notes. These items aren't being ignored, but it will take Xbox engineers more time to find a solution.

We're still tracking these known issues:

Controllers

  • We're aware some users using an Xbox Series X|S controller are seeing it lose sync with the console.
    • Note: If you see this behavior, try reconnecting the controller to the console via USB/Wireless or if possible connect another controller and submit feedback. Then reboot the console and try re-syncing the controller.
Guide

  • We are investigating reports of the audio mixer being unable to adjust chat/game audio levels.
My Games & Apps

  • Titles in collection may incorrectly appear with a "trial" tag.
Profile Color

  • Sometimes users may encounter the incorrect Profile color when powering on the console.

Anything that makes it easier to get typing onto a friendlier screen is good in my book. It was the best thing about Smart Glass.

I hope this makes its way to things like searching the store, etc, and isn't limited to Chats only.

(Tangent - I know not possible as MS has opted against including it in the XBox controllers, but I honestly thing gyro is the best solution for text entry on console. The way you can use it to navigate keyboards in the PlayStation menus is great. It's odd and frustrating to me that Switch does have gyro as an option but doesn't let you use it for keyboard entry).

From 'quake area to big OH.
Twitch link broken? I just get a spinning circle and never completed.

Got it to work, but it's jank. Website says the wrong game Title, and can't change stream name. Keeps crashing or saying something wrong.
