I played Origins and thought it burned me out. But after a year or a bit more I'm ready. I still think that Origins controls like a dream compared to everything else. Actually, I tried playing The Witcher 3 after Origins and I couldn't stand the controls.
If I understood correctly, Odyssey improves in almost all aspects, so I'm expecting to have a great time with it.

I want to jump in on that $20 RE2 remake but at the same time I feel like it's gonna come to gamepass. So many Capcom games have been going there recently.

Wish Steam had it at a discount rn.

I prefer Origins' combat but both games are very repetitive

Is Death of the Outsider worth CAD $10?

I have yet to play Dis 1 and 2 (part of my backlog), however.

Yes, but you should probably get around to playing those two first! :) DotO works as a trilogy ender even though it's not officially Dishonored 3.

Oh another note, is Hitman 2 Gold worth it? Also disappointed that A Plague Tale didn't get a digital discount at all and that came out in May. It's $24.99 on PSN, very strange.

Thanks. They have been in my backlog for a while now. It's just that I keep on thinking, "May be I should try and finish the GP games first because they may be gone unlike my purchased games".

IIRC, Gold entails expansions and they (the game's levels in general) are good if you have enjoyed Hitman 2016. It feels more spread out and consequently more complex. I felt that certain levels in Hitman 2016 were absolutely genius in the way they combined scope with scale. Hitman 2 in comparison feels a bigger (a bit too big for me). Of course, this allows for great replayability, however.

I played Hitman 1 and then the same levels all over again somewhat differently via Legacy Pack in H2. Hokkaido thus far is my favourite.

Another notable change, which feels entirely budgetary in H2 is the lack of interstitial cutscenes; now still images drawn in an aesthetic that straddles line between realistic and stylized perform the same function with voice overs. Still, this is entirely superfluous.

Bought:
Battlefield V
Wolfenstein 2-Pack
Titanfall 2 Ultimate Edition
Tekken 7 Ultimate Edition

Might get a couple more things. If i could use the $ in my account on 360 titles, I'd buy a few of those too.

I did enjoy Hitman, got the complete season for $30 back in 2016, but I didn't replay levels a ton, but did get some for trophies. I find the bigger levels sort of daunting and tend to play with opportunities on. I feel like I enjoyed Blood Money more overall.

Ah, well, with kind of price, if you wanted to try it out, this would be a good time. It's a slow paced methodical metroidvania with more opportunities (some of which are time sensitive in some cases and may be missed if you play with certain guidance options off for greater immersion).

My journey with the series started with the 2016 entry.

Finally bought Death of The Outsider. I knew waiting would pay off. Surprised it hasn't shown up on Gamepass.

There's usually another sale event around December/January right? Looking at a few titles and could see some prices go even lower during those sales. I'm just afraid of buying something now and seeing that it's cheaper a few weeks from now.

So the 12/2 banner isn't accurate then?

Wow, I did not know even see that. Just looked at the bottom and saw this:

*Available 11/21/2019 to 12/02/2019 on select items available through Microsoft Store and Xbox.com. Offers and content varies by market and may change at any time. Not valid on prior orders or purchases. May not be combinable with other offers. Other exclusions and limits may apply.

So yea, this is a bit confusing. However, this could also mean a new sale will replace the current one.

I think the "current" sale thats about to end is the sneak preview only available to people with Gold. When it "ends" it's replaced by the same sale open to everyone.

Correct. Countdown sale to the new year, usually starts around Dec 20th or so. Its mostly the same or worse prices compared to BF sales but it features daily deals with some more obscure games.
Why does it say that the Prey Mooncrash deal ends in 21 minutes?

Its counting down to when the sale is open to all members, which is Nov 24. It was previously only available for GP Ultimate and Gold members. So all prices will remain active until Dec 2, no worries.

Is Man of Medan worth it, or should I wait for Game Pass, GWG or lower sale? I have this $10 voucher, but I'm not sure I want to use it on this and I already bought AC Odyssey Gold. I loved Until Dawn BTW.

Edit: Decided to get Hitman 2 Gold with voucher - only paid $17, not bad.

Got $10 but I have absolutely nothing I want to spent it on since I mainly buy most of my games on PS4 and my XBX is pretty much my GamePass/BC machine.
I want to get Hitman 2 Gold but I'm having a bit of problem with getting the Legacy Content to work :/

Deciding if I should jump on Battlefield V (to play with friends) or Tales of Vesperia as I don't know if I want to spend so much and not have anything for the end of the year sale which usually has something for me too. Also thinking of gifting something to my friends as a thank you for them doing so much for me. If my buddy doesn't buy AC: Odyssey here, I might as well do it for that price.

Considering picking up GTAV again for £8. I know the online is full of MTX bullshit but is it at least fun without buying into them? I basically just want to sandbox it and do stupid stuff whilst grieifing assholes every now and again.

Picked up Anthem (hopefully for some sort of reboot), Dragon Ball FighterZ, and No Man's Sky. Wishing xcloud was on iOS/OSX already since I'm on a business trip for the next week.

I was kinda bored with Origins but Odyssey improves all aspects of the game. Some people prefer not to notice but it is a great RPG game too.
Played it for some hours and I'm still on the first island, but I enjoy it. Don't know if I'll finish it as it seems to be fucking huge, but I'll see. The close combat clearly is a little different, bow seems to be the same to me. Main difference seems to be that you activate perks manually now. I didn't do that in Origins right?

Anyway, beautiful game, amazing what Ubi achieved with an open world engine. Can't wait for an AC on next gen consoles now.

Seriously considering picking up Dragon Age Inquisition GOTY edition as a mate has been talking about it at work. I loved Origins and hated the sequel, is Inquisition any good and worth the play through?
