No just go to settings and locale and switch region to new zealand and restart. You are now on the NZ dashboard and most importantly store.
I downloaded it while on the North America store. Will I also have to redownload the game. Or is simply switching regions and resetting my Xbox enough?

what a sad perspective on enjoyment. allowing others to tell you what you will enjoy or not.
because reviews are not used as a way to judge if you want to buy a game or not but to justify your fandom in your chosen corporation.
Some people see the battle between different console manufacturer as watching sports, it's all a competition and they love seeing their team win a match and love seeing the other team lose a match. Don't waste your energy thinking much about it.
idk a lot of posters in here are really serious and go beyond measure to ensure their opinion is righter than yours, especially when they want to deflate or lower another's positive feeling toward something lol

Yes. But if switch to your own locale and the game is not released in that locale. You cant play offcourse. So just play the first day on new zealand region and then a day later switch back.
