That's what I think too. He claims MS moved the show to August but it can go into June eventually? Where does he get his Infos from? 😅
Well Greenberg mostly respond due to that shitty click bait title of VG247.

Fucking Sea of Thieves broke me. I've never bought any micro transactions for any game.
And now I have a parrot and a monkey...
Lookout for the ancient skeletons that appear out of the ground randomly for 10 seconds. If you manage to kill one in the time limit they drop ancient coins which can be spent at the Pirate Emporium :)Emotes are the real joy to use.
I tell myself that 9 dollars a month is no big deal...

Xbox 20/20
Starting with the May 7 episode of Inside Xbox, we will be showcasing what happens next in the world of Xbox, every month, which is why we're calling it "Xbox 20/20." These monthly moments will take place throughout the rest of the year
They never said event every month since beginning.FROM:

[Editor’s Note on 8/7/2020 – Xbox has a massive year ahead of us, as outlined below. After reassessing our programming for the rest of the year, we’ve decided to stop using the “Xbox 20/20” phrasing as it implied that we would be releasing information in one way only, through a dedicated monthly...news.xbox.com
Like come on, just be honest if the planned event fell through....or if it's still happening. This is actually sort of frustrating...
So when is this monthly moment going to happen you think. Don't think it would be this week because of sony and bungie. Maybe the week when EA does their thing?
I kind of want the June event/news to be about Xbox Velocity Architecture with a demo of sorts showing how games can utilize it.If July is looking like the full reveal, what should MS show in June? I don't think they should leave it blank but I am not sure what title is worth it. Personally I would show Hellblade (If its ready) and that will get people talking more than enough until July appears.
First time I encountered one the music started playing and I wondered what the hell was going on lolWe have found two of them in the time we have been playing. They are crazy rare, but when they appear we go batshit.
They said multiple times that they would tell people what was planned for June soon. Aaron's tweet implies there is nothing coming in June. I mean, if it's something else, not a true "event", but a blog post or DF video so be it, but the messaging is super weird on this.
It's a response to a clickbait headline. So is Greenberg confused or implying the June thing is still happening?
I sincerely hope we aren't treated to the next gen XGS showcase in ... 1080p/30.
Because it's a respond to the clickbait title from VG247.They said multiple times that they would tell people what was planned for June soon. Aaron's tweet implies there is nothing coming in June. I think I'm going to start intentionally misreading every piece of news that comes out. Then, I will double down on how my own misguided perception is fact and not understand how they could make such poor choices.
Probably the best review I've seen that encapsulates what's so brilliant about the game. The ideas in the game is something I'd expect from old Rare.
The video explained a few details I had no clue about too, didn't know you can steal Emissary flags!
There probably was never an "event," only a blog post revealing Lockhart or talking about xCloud or somethingFROM:

Yes. Only less polite. So you're saying you're going to be like 99% of Twitter and Facebook?
Pretty much.I truly don't get people. VG247 has like 200k twitter followers. They post an egregiously clickbaity title and Greenberg clears it up. Yet he and Microsoft are somehow the bad people and wrong
literally says "June news will be done differently than Inside Xbox show."
yea, that's an EVENT alright.
Seriously any Xbox News gets twisted and distorted for the worse. If Xbox would've announced a 1080p 30fps pre-recorded stream, you wouldn't hear the end of it.
mm that would be divine! i love their videos. My first thought was a digital foundry video with finished hardware. But yeah it could be anything and it could be nothing. Microsoft has been great at the random 9am info drops so I guess we'll find out.
There really isn't anything "new" in this article, but it is a good summary interview with Phil in Wired about the broader Xbox ecosystem plans AND the fact that he personally games on his TV with console primarily and says that they will continue to make consoles beyond the Series X for anyone that wants to spout some crap about them not caring about consoles for "reasons".
XboxEra reviewed it to, and call me biased, but I think ours is pretty good. (I spent far too long on it)
Perfection.I think I'm going to start intentionally misreading every piece of news that comes out. Then, I will double down on how my own misguided perception is fact and not understand how they could make such poor choices.
June wasn't a digital event though, right?FROM:

Gotta wonder if we'll see this in July. Is the Hellblade 2 team working on it, or does it have a separate team?

Like 98% of Twitter and Facebook?
.As I have said, people need to listen to what is said and think for themselves. Xbox consoles are a space where Microsoft not only sells boxes, but also makes a tonne of money selling accessories or making commissions off the sale of accessories. It is a console where games are certified, and they make a cut on every software sold, and this stretches all the way to DLC and microtransactions. Boxes matter, they will always matter, and they matter even more so when you are trying to not only sell a subscription service. If they did not matter as much, you would not see the effort they have put in coming up with the XB1X or the XBSX as premium products.
Boxes matter because the console ecosystem is a walled garden of sorts where revenue generation is maximized. If someone is telling you something different, they are straight up lying to you. Selling boxes is quite simply put, the most important part of the gaming business.
And it's so close ;)
Touche. Well played sir/madam.
