I just got the 1$ version for testing out FS2020 and now playing other games. The idea is really great and I like it, but hell, the Windows Store is the worst place I know! I only get asked on which drive I want my games, if there is not enough space and then it still install all into craptastic random folders. Sorry, but with this I will spent maybe 10$ if they have a game I really like to play in their offer, which I doubt. Of course, there are some games I like to play like Halo MCC and Plague Tale, but they were very low in my Pile of Shame. Sorry, but I am out until they improve more, MS Studio productions are usually interesting me near to 20% of Sony/Nintendo productions.

When I complained about the selection compared to the console library, people said "it's only 5 dollars." So I hope I will no longer see new games I'm interested in and then discover they are console only.

In any case I'm gonna grab my last 1 dollar special offer for a month and probably not sub again until something big hits.

just over the course of this summer you got like three or four absolute bangers of games. If that wasn't enough to sell you on the service nothing ever will dude.

I really enjoyed PC gamepass when I've beensubscribed to it on and off since it's release, $5 was a fantastic price point. Wonder if with the price increase it means PC Gamepass and Xbox Gamepass will have parity in the amount of games available.

Every single game released in August had a PC release and this included a couple of 90+ metacritic PC exclusives (technically one was 1st September but the point stands).

It feels like they've turned a corner with PC releases. Its not quite at parity with the console version but it's definitely getting there.

Seems like things have changed quite a bit since the last time I subscribed and I didn't know. Great to know it's been getting close every new month. It's a great service.

Eh I will most likely keep it but end automatic renewal and buy cards in store. I found a little loophole (Rikskuponger for any Swede) to buy Playstation, Nintendo or Xbox currency/subscription for basically half price.

I don't play that many games on Game Pass PC, maybe one game every 2-3 months, so the price of 4€ was fine. 10€ would be too much for me, but without a doubt it's a very good deal for all the others.

I guess I'll play through Tell Me Why and than I'm done with the service.

I was barely using Game Pass PC as it was but at that price it was in the realm of "stay subscribed for the convenience in case you ever want to play a game".
At $10 it's not worth the admission fee for me especially since my gaming time will be cut short in a few weeks when my son will be born.
Thanks for the reminder to cancel my sub, though. Auto-renewal would have billed me today. Perfect timing.

I feel like this price increase would go over better if it was timed with the addition of EA Play being added. Although it would ruin their "for no additional cost" marketing.

The pricing was bound to end at some point; I guess. Worth noting though that EA Play is only coming to Game Pass for PC and Game Pass Ultimate, not the console Game Pass. So Game Pass for PC will be stronger than console line-up in this respect.

I also feel it's been picking up in recent months, older games might not have parity, but newer months have been very close and even had some great stuff that is not on consoles.

I'll probably cancel. It's still a great deal but I haven't used it a ton and if they're going to charge me the same price as the console version while not having the same games then I'll pass.

Even less reason for me to get it then. Will subscribe for the next AAA game I am interested in but that seems far away.

Maybe in for another 1€ month but I have too much to play right now anyway and I am afraid that the trash app will block unremovable gigabytes on my disc again, lol.

Time to cancel then. I simply don't use it enough and pretty much always find myself playing games not on game pass. I guess my taste just isn't a good match for the service beyond a few games such as Ori. I even bought Wasteland 3 on Steam because I wanted to own it and play with all the features of Steam - the game also receives patches faster on Steam.

I don't know how anyone can say it's not worth the value.
Sure it might be "doubling", but from $5 to $10...

This makes Game Pass PC a bit less appealing. I was a huge fan at the beginning, seemed like a mind-blowing deal. And maybe I've gotten used to the mind-blowingness of it all to the point were I feel less excited about paying for it. And the games they've added recently haven't really caught my attention with a few exceptions.
Also, there are definitely cases where games simply wouldn't run and force me to do some weird workarounds on my own, like Rise of the Tomb Raider and Streets of Rage 4 (until they patched it a week later) to name a few. I hope being out of beta means they have worked out a lot of those kinks too.
Finally, adding EA Access is cool, but I used to subscribe to the service on Origin, and looking back about 80-90 % of the games I actually played there were non-EA games anyway.

I mean they are doubling the price with no added value (the ea stuff doesn't come til later) so I think cancellations are completely reasonable. I am also paid through November 22nd for $1 otherwise I'd have canceled.

I'm out when it finishes my subscription of this month. I prefer pay 5 bucks with most of indies that pay 10 including old EA games, but I suppose am not the potential audience.
It was awesome while it existed.

Games are lackluster compared to Consoles offerings, I'll probably pay once a year to burn through the exclusives.

I'm going to guess that the UK price will be £9.99, which is still a great deal for me. Since I started my sub I've barely bought any games as I'm just playing via Game Pass, so it actually saves me money.

I am out, subscription services are not for me. At £4 per month it was a no brainier to keep a sub. Never had any major problems with the app.

The increase stings since I still have 10 months of EA access but will continue to keep an eye on this in hopes that it comes closer to the offering on console.

But the app is still awful.
This. People say the Xbox app is fine, but it's coupled to the Microsoft Store. Had a download which I couldnt start, so went over to the Store where the same issue occurred (and it seemed like the Xbox app was starting the download through the store anyway) and my Store broke, which broke my Xbox app also.

Had to use wsreset.exe to fix it.

What? Why would this work?
If you have recurring billing turned on the purchase button on the Microsft Store will say Manage, but if you have it turned off it will say Extend and you'll get to buy 1 month (and recurring billing will be turned on again). And you can just keep repeating doing that until you're satisfied (or the 3 year limit, or whatever it is, is met).
