Amazing news but only if BF4 does not still look so awful on a Series X/S system.

There's alot of people who still play BF4... so just imagining all that chaos at 120hz is something. Also Battlefront looks just Amazing as it is, so again seeing that 120hz will look like real life lol.

This is awesome, I'm replaying TF2 on my Series X when I can get my hands on one.

Q: How can I tell if my 2017, high end 4K HDR Samsung TV supports 120hz?

Titanfall 2 definitely has a noticeable IQ drop, hitting the FPS boost option makes it go from crisp to smudgy real quick. Honestly though, it's definitely worth it. It feels:

What model and size?

Some Samsung's only do 120Hz on certain sizes (I say as the owner of a NU8000 that does 120Hz on every size except the one I have)

yeah same here.
i managed to get a samsung q70, at the only size it doesn't support vrr or 120hz.
those didn't look like that important back then. lol

I got excited, but those games really already run at 60. 120 is cool I guess, but coupled with the trade-off in resolution, not super interested.
ME:Catalyst at 4K would've been cooler to see.

That's the thing, I'm away from home for a few weeks so I can't check and I think it was some slightly different panel for the Canadian market (I'm sure the tech is essentially the same, I never understood why it had a slightly different model # than non Canadian tvs).

It's 55 inches. I guess I was hoping someone would say, from that year and with those specs, yes for sure or no for sure. It was one of those curved TVs they tried to introduce into the market and failed, got it ultra cheap for that reason months after its release.

Wow-- I would have thought boosts to 120fps would be rare. Apparently not!

Cool stuff.

I hope the next batch has more 30fps games boosted 60, though.

Think it may be time to finally play the Titanfall 2 campaign.

Kid of hoping they do some enhancements to Biowares stuff as well.

I was pretty skeptical of 120 FPS at first on my LG CX, but I went back to Halo 5 yesterday (60 FPS) after playing Halo MCC a lot (120 fps) and it felt kind of janky.

I really notice it in FPS games when you pan the camera. Even though 60fps is smooth, when panning the camera in 120fps the image remains crystal clear and you can still see everything. In 60fps it causes a "natural" blur that makes the image look less clean. I agree it's great in MCC.

Not yet, but if/when they do, it's going to be glorious!
Splinter Cell Conviction and Blacklist at 60fps 😎
We don't know. Right now they're focused on boosting as many Xbox One games as they can.
Yeah, I would prefer if they target games locked at 30fps on One/X before chasing that 120Hz.
Should be 900p on Series/One X.

It's dynamic on Xbox. 720p-900p. I don't think it drops below 900p at all on the enhanced consoles.
Are you sure? Digital Foundry doesn't mention a dynamic resolution. 720p on Xbox and 900p on PS4.

Mirror's Edge Catalyst Xbox One vs Xbox One X Frame Rate Test

Frame rate test showing the performance of Mirror's Edge Catalyst running on Xbox One and Xbox One X.Subscribe for more gaming tech analysis: http://bit.ly/V...

Mirror's Edge Catalyst on Xbox One uses a dynamic resolution ranging between 1280x720 and 1600x900. The resolution on Xbox One seems to spend most of its time near 1280x720 with 1600x900 seemingly never occuring. The Xbox One X doesn't ever appear to render at less than 1600x900.

4K 120? That is only for newer, mostly post 2019 TVs. Your current one likely will support 120Hz at 1080p though, just beware you likely will not have VRR capability in this mode.

I have an itch to replay the Dead Space franchise, dunno if the games have auto hdr, but fps boost would push me to do it.

But before that I have to finish the Silent hill hd collection games.

This feature led to me discovering one of my favorite recent games.

When Prey came out, I tried the demo and didn't like it at all. The way it ran and how the controls felt was really off-putting. I gave it another shot with FPS boost and GWG and the game is now just completely amazing. A masterpiece. Thanks FPS Boost!

This is rad as hell, but I do hope they continue to focus on upgrading 30FPS games up to 60, as that's where it's most noticable, and also something folks who don't have a fancy new TV can take advantage of (but can't wait to play some Titanfall 2 and BF2 at 120 tonight).

Awesome news! Yet, I still wished BF4 had a enhancement patch at least. My god... it's a blurry mess and I've instantly uninstalled the game as soon as I hop on multiplayer. Playing it on PC is a day and night change.

Hecc 120fps wouldn't even convince me to play BF4. It needs a patch yet BF6 is already coming so.. yea... :p

Really glad TF2 is getting more players now than ever!

First game I played and beat on Gamepass was Titanfall 2, even though I had already completed it when the game launched on PS4. Was amazing already on Series X, now with the boost must be even more so.

Campaign is easily in the top 10 of games for me
