The cabaret game split out into a mobile game would be so good for my commute.
That godamn music that plays during the mini-game still haunts my dreams. I will never be free of that ear-worm .
You talking about this one?
I really love that song. It's kind of hauntingly beautiful.
It's not enough that it's just really damn fun, but Kiwami 2 Cabaret Club storyline is also a direct story sequel to Yakuza 0's!Y'all are getting me excited for a fucking mini-game right now. xD~~
I love and hate this song in equal measure. But I mostly hate it.
That blows. They have their own story not related to the main story in anyway, but they're necessary to unlock the strongest fighting styles
Oh god me too, I put headphones in while i was playing it but I swear I could feel her eyes boring into my back ^^;No joke.
My gf had the most perplexed look on her face when she walked in, heard this playing and sees me picking out ear rings for a hostess.
Love the cabaret club to death. What a fun side game. I became addicted.
I'd love to see them do a Host club too.
I probably spent half of my 90 hour playthrough in the Cabaret :D
They did. In Yakuza 2. And then they removed it from Kiwami 2. Why'd you have to remind me :( The club is still there in the series - its Club Adam, just north of the batting cages. It has a great little side story in Yakuza 2, but I guess it wasn't popular so it was never used again? Oh well, there's my reason to replay Yakuza 2 in the future...
This! I don't think there's any other mini games from other games where I spent that amount of time playing, I spent more time on cabaret club than most full games 🤣Cabaret Club is one of the greatest video game mini-games. Do not feel ashamed.
The cabaret club music is catchy, but honestly its not even in my top 10 tracks in this game. Its an incredibly solid soundtrack and for me there's only one theme deserved of the top spot:
Wait whaaat!?
I greatly enjoyed the throwbacks to Y0's Club Sunshine in YK2, but that's disappointing that they removed a host club. I think there's just a fun angle you could go with.
Cabaret club is also in Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise, I didn't like it as much but it does twist things up a bit by allowing two girls per table. Plus you can murder customers if they get unruly.

I dunno, I am not terribly into Yakuza's brand of rocking out with electric guitars.
But there are definitely exceptions:
(if you haven't beaten the game yet, I suggest not listening to this, because it's just soooo hype when it plays.)
And of course the all-time classic, Receive You, the very first song from the very first Yakuza game.
...which reminds me, supposedly there's a remix of Receive You in Yakuza 0 if you beat Kiryu's real estate game.
