Would you take a vacation in the area you live in?

Scotland has a lot of really nice scenery if you can put up with wind and rain and snow and hills and walking. So yeah I would but I'm too lazy to do so.
Toronto is nice to live in but in terms of visiting I can think of hundreds of more interesting cities.
I live in NYC so yeah. I often take random days off to go to museums or places around the city I haven't been to yet.

I dunno, I'd feel weird just spunking a few of my precious holiday days on doing stuff in the same ordinary city where I live.
I took a vacation recently. But didn't leave my house for most of it. Was kind of depressing actually.
Exactly. San Jose sucks unless it's food, but having all these places close is a godsend. Don't have to drive more than an hour for a good time.
As someone that lived in NJ for a year I agree. Couldn't wait to get out of there lol.

Yes. I like taking mini-staycations here in the city. Getting a nice hotel room and then going out and painting the city red. It feels super indulgent.

This I am currently on vacation every day. Everywhere else kind of is a bummer in my experience or just not my speed.
I have heard that many Californians say they have never left their state because there is so much to do within 1 state. Snow, desert, ocean, mountains, redwoods, Napa/Sonoma wine country, etc.

Yes I would say vacation in Tampa, nice place with lots to do.
