Assuming a nearly direct port of the Vita version with adapted touchscreen controls, Google Play achievements and cloud saves, would you buy P4G mobile for around 20 bucks?

I totally would.

P4G is one of my favorite games of all time, but no. That's not how I want to play it.

No, I still have a vita. I've tried before with FFT and DQ, I just end up never actually playing games outside of the house

Absolutely. Don't think there's going to be anything that will massively change in a mobile port.

If I didn't already have a Vita I would. But since I still have that I'll stick with the physical controller.

Playing JRPGs on the touchscreen is torture due to the how long you need to hold your phone/tablet. Still have my Vita so nope won't buy it.

No because phones suck for games.

I'd take a Switch or PS4 port happily though.

If by mobile you mean switch in handheld mode then sure (but I would likely just play it on my TV >.>).
if by mobile you mean what you are talking about in this post then god no. My vita still works and I could get motivated to find my charger, but I'm not going to play a version of a game that is a vastly inferior version (To me)

I can't remotely stand moving characters with a touchscreen analog stick. I've never found a game I have enjoyed it in and have never stuck with a game more than 30 minutes that has one. I just can't stand it, it's just such a horrid input method to me that I would just rather play something else. (if it's super simplified like Another Eden I can put up with it for short periods of time but that wouldn't work well for a persona game at all)

I suppose in theory I could bring a controller to play my phone with but I also don't play any phone games with sound on because I'm either playing them while I'm out and about, or while doing something else which in either case playing with sound would just make me a jerk.

Basically I don't in general want the console game experience with my phone games, and I wouldn't buy such games on my phone. So no, I wouldn't buy such a release at all. I would easily rebuy it on ps4/pc/switch though even if it was just a straight port as I don't pull out my vita much anymore and I would be up for replaying p4.

Honestly it is one of my favorite games of all time (a problematic favorite by all means) on my favorite console so I wouldn't get it on Android probably, BUT, it'd be a really accessible way to recommend the game (with caveats) to people over telling them to get a Vita or emulate a PS2 game (or get a ps3) lol.

Edit: Not for 20 though

If my Vita was about to die / dead, yeah. Rather than a rerelease on PS4 tbh. (Have to have those games portably.)

I love mobile games but not ports. On-screen virtual controls are terrible and complicated unintuitive. Might as well port it to pc instead.

P4G is one of my favorite games ever, but no way in hell would I play a mobile/phone version. I just don't like playing games on my phone at all.

I'd be up for a Switch/PC/PS4 version, but I can't stand playing touch screen only.

Wow, I should've expected Era's general aversion to mobile games, lol.

Yeah, don't get me wrong. I played the Vita version a ton and that's not even the best way it could be played but let's not pretend touch controls would bring the gameplay down a whole lot.

Movement is super simple and doesn't require fast skills or button combinations. It's a super straightforward affair that barely uses the Vita's shoulder buttons, if at all.

If I dared, say, even suggest a straight port of DMC3 or something super skillful like that, then I would deserve all the hate in the world, heh.

Nope. Already played and beat the base game. I might buy a mobile version of Persona 5 since I have no other way to play it

There hasn't been a mobile game I'd be willing to pay for yet, this definitely wouldn't change that.

yeah. i bought it on Vita but never finished it. at the time i wasn't into Persona and was only trying it out because it was recommended. I wasn't enjoying my Vita so returned it. Now after finishing Persona 5 I want to go back and finish it but it's not worth buying a Vita again.

A long ass jrpg that would take a decade for me to beat at 5 min increments and no save states sounds awful. It's not designed for that platform or the lifestyle of mobile gamers.

I beaten P4 and P4G multiple times. I don't really need it on mobile with touchscreen controls. My Vita already makes it mobile so, yeah. I wouldn't mind for a PC or PS4 port though.

Since it'd mean I'd actually be able to play it, I would yea, but I'd really prefer it on either a console or PC.

I hate playing on my Vita, so yes, I will buy P4G on literally anything else.

Sure I would support it. The more people who get to to lay the game, the better.

It's a JRPG anyway, so it doesn't lose out of much with touchscreen controls.

I'd buy a Switch version in an instant, but not a mobile version. Playing with a virtual analog stick and buttons is a complete no-go for me. I'd buy another Vita before subjecting myself to a mobile P4G.

No because I have it on my fully functional Vita. It's a decent game but not something I'd replay. They'd have to remake much of the game for me to be interested in playing it again on any platform.

Sure, only if it support external controllers. But I would prefer it's ported to dedicated game systems.

Tough to say but probably not? I don't like playing games on my phone and I'm not sure how I'd like to play a game like that on my phone that requires extended periods of time without saving.

i'd like P4G on a modern platform but realistically a mobile version would become obsolete before my vita dies, so probably not.

it could work, though. probably better off with P3P-style navigation outside dungeons.

I think it would be a cool move, but I just don't really play those kinds of games on my phone.

Nope. PS4 though, for sure. Don't even need to touch it up much, just upres it to 1080 and that's all.

Yeah, I'd kill for an accessible way to play this mobile!

Loved it on my Vita, but I imagine it would look & play even better on new iPhone Max.
