yep. who knows if that'll be the hashtag that takes off but once a social buzz campaign starts in earnest it'll take off

Sony signaling their ability to add it if there's enough demand is basically them saying "just do this so we can say we listened to the fans"

How is this embarrassing? I have a 1440p G-sync monitor and love it but I know I'm in the 5% or so of the audience (squeaky as we are) and I'd rather they spend development time elsewhere.

Cheap 4k TVs don't though. Again, what is the 80% user going to use vs the 20%. It could be 1440p at 120hz is in the 80 but there has to be some marketing survey info that shows. This could be a huge misstep on their part, or it could have been driven due to market priority.

It probably wouldn't hurt, I don't see them doing it right away but it could come in time.

Would be nice if the next gen console I'll be getting early or mid next year actually supported the resolution that I game at.
Ridiculous that its not officially supported despite there being loads of monitors out there that run at 1440p.

I game at 1440p because I'm on a 1440p 144HZ freesync 2.0 monitor.

So, you're saying that 720p and 1080i are more worth supporting than 1440p? Look, there's *no* good reason it's not supported. MS supports it since the Xbox One, and there *are* plenty of people that would benefit from it being added. Who's actually going to play a PS5 on a 720p set in 2020?
