The only way it might stick is if they go full adult like GI Joe Resolute and actually explore the implications of fighting a menacing terrorist organization and show how horrifying such a group that murders civilians would really be, but that would mean loosing out on the toy sales, which I think is all Hasbro really cares about.

I'm just doing some basic math based on it's current trajectory and how it's been falling lately. I see it doing sub $1m internationally this weekend and around $1.5m-$1.9m domestic this weekend. This is taking into account the theater drops next weekend with Lion Kings release.
All I know is that whichever movie wins it will take a long ass time for us to know for sure and by then everyone will be tried of it and glad that it's over.
It will make it. If it falls short by a couple of million that's like a single weekend expansion with a tiny push. There's no scenario Disney let's it get that close and doesn't make it happen.

It was pointed out in boxoffice theory that IW made another 2.5m after August to the end of the year from just all the accumulated little screenings and re-releases around the world that don't get much attention or reporting so expect Endgame to keep trickling along for a while.

I have to think this is the highest traffic everything box office related; be it social media, this thread, or websites have gotten so consistently. I mean I never follow any of this stuff besides periodically a final tally check when something leaves theaters and I've been obsessively checking them all daily

Transformers has basically never stopped. There's been six cartoons (Animated, Prime, Robots in Disguise 2015 and Cyberverse plus the two Rescue Bots series that are aimed at toddlers) since the live-action movies and that's not even counting the Machinima stuff and the Netflix show based on the Siege toyline that is coming next year.
I always picture it as the Russos dragging Thano''s headless corpse by the shoulders across the finish line.
Would definitely go with 1 being the most likely of those 2 at this point.
RT scores tend to trend down once a movie is out by a few %. That would be a bad bet.
If it's going to get that close naturally, I don't see why Disney wouldn't drag it the rest of the way across Avatar. They've done so for much smaller milestones.
I'm holding out hope that the Uncanny Valley leads to bad WoM for TLK, but I know better than to bet against Disney by this point.
You never know, if the musical numbers aren't that impressive, WoM could be less positive than Aladdin.
