The actual acting is a bit worse than OT Star Wars, but more importantly none of the leads of Aquaman has the charisma of Harrison Ford or Carrie Fisher. Or even Karen Black and Jessica Capshaw.
A Wonder Twins movie with Channing Tatum and Anna Kendrick, directed by Lord and Miller.

Venom 2 with those two chewing the hell out of everything will be beautiful.
Aquaman was super cheesy and just felt the writing was borderline amateurish. So much more could've been done with this film. Great cinematics and visuals and source material and yeah, I'm smiled and enjoyed it, by it was super weak IMO. Like there could've been so much truly emotional heart felt scenes and they just weren't there. And some legit bad acting throughout. I'm was like really??!!

Woody is vamping so hard in that scene. It's actually quite remarkable.

Ain't gonna lie, I just watched the trailer and I would legit watch that. Looks like they went for the Francetta look.

They could delay it. Make a sequel about something else and have the credits scene be his escape. You get Carnage in the third.
Not like the Kilmomger was this pinnacle of writing. And Ocean Master is more of a villain in Aquaman. And he does compare more favourably to the Kilmonger, well I guess Kilmonger works better because he doesn't say I am Kilmonger.

Had some premium points to spend on a free movie this evening and saw Aquaman on a large format auditorium. The place was packed and of all the damn movies I've seen the last few years, I don't know how this one managed to earn the notorious end credits applause.

The last shot precredits scene is a pretty great, feel good, Raimi Spider-Man type ending shot.
Put these 2 behind a quality director and script and the billion will fly in fast. Just look at what they've achieved with WW and Aquaman, because let's face it both Momoa (and I love the guy) and Gadot aren't exactly great actors.
