I just watched the trailer, the slightest motion sends those breasts into a cavalcade of jello motions.
For some reason, I thought this was a Dead or Alive character DLC and thought "Man they're not even pretending to hide it, huh?"
Giving mecha a worse rep for women characters than it already had. Just keeps dragging it into the abyss...
It looks like those really awful "comics" I've seen people make with Poser.
I mean at least with other exaggerated cheesecake stuff I *get* it, even though I'm not crazy for it, but this is like... why? It's a huge question mark in my brain as to what the appeal of this is.

The more you push in one direction (for, say, diversity and better representation), the more the opposing force will push in the other. Throw in the Capitalist drive to always go "one higher" than the competition, and you've a formula that could keep going until women are reduced to literal walking breasts.

I'm so sick of these "meme" games. They're even on the top lists on Steam because all these 12 year olds like to gift them to their friends as a joke. I saw some game last week called The Last of Waifu where bikini models ran around shooting eachother with machine guns in a semi-realistic environment. It made my eyes roll so hard I almost tripped over.
There are some designs that just go way too overboard with it all, they just end up straight up fucking hilarious. Oh boy, thanks for the laugh.
But also, someone start a gofundme for her medical bills, cause that back must be in constant P A I N.
It looks like a parody game. But the guys that find that sexy probably already watch Hentai or games with those crazy designs.

I honestly don't even think they or anyone they're selling to actually thinks that's attractive. Like, yeah, probably a some do, but I would wager they're in the minority.
Instead, I think they are just doing it to be misogynistic. Not just that that's how they're trying to market the game or it just being a byproduct of the aesthetic they are going to, or even in just the idea of selling porn...

They're clearly making this with both the understanding and glee that it will offend anyone who sees women as more than sexual commodities.
And I think this is supported by the description. They mention it as an action game, and give some details, but they seem far more passionate about letting you know about the customization options and photo mode that they have, going on for literal paragraphs about what you can tweek about any character model. No description of enemies, no in depth details on combat,...but they are very hype to tell you their character model has 6 slider options for genitals.
So I think that's is what they're truly trying to sell: that women are just bodies for you to objectify, and the game is just the medium they used to do it. It's concentrated misogyny as a product.

I don't at all, and I'm someone who doesn't mind big breasts as long as it isn't way too big and comical for proportions. Unfortunately some devs don't care about that and leads to games like that. This is way worse than Dead or Alive which is crazy in itself.

There's an argument to be made for games like Dead or Alive as being genuinely worse than this game. This dumb League of Maidens thing is so over the top that no one except the biggest shit heads could possibly take seriously, and even they would have shame playing this if say, their mother walked in.
But a Dead or Alive is a lot more insidious. You're making a genuine fighting game that people might be into, you're putting character designs out there that won't immediatley ping as horribly sexist to people who don't stop to think about that kind of thing at all, and you're normalizing that shit.
Ah, you are right in that area. I was thinking of in comparison for going over the top that League is far too much, definitely when it comes to breasts and the designs as I find that worse than DOA. I would say it's the spin off DOA games that do it the worst though, like Dead or Alive Xtreme Venus Vacation.

I know the year is getting started, but I would hope not to see designs worse than League of Maidens or anything like that for this year. Sadly though I think there will be another game that goes for over sexualization just for the hell of it than making any sense. But how bad it will get is what we want to know as well.
DOA needs to stop relying on its girls for attention. I like the counter system and there are clearly dudes (cool ones at that) in the roster. Maybe they should make their girls less sex appeal-y and focus more on their actual character (it crosses over with Ninja Gaiden right? There's a lot of backstory and plot to be explored).
They also need to make a volleyball game without the gravure simulator. The original Xtreme game was a fantastic volleyball game hidden among horny cheesecake. At least make it equal opportunity. I wanna see Ryu do a slam in a mankini.
