Why women criticise sexualised character designs | OT3 | "make her look more...corpulent, more stuffed where the eyes can't escape."

Glad I'm not the only one that's noticed this. Game always had a weirdness to the character art where everyone's limbs are either pencils or thigh balloons, but it seemed like the vast majority of the characters you could get in the US up til a few months ago were somewhere between slight eyeroll and kinda cool. Now it seems like every batch of new characters has one 5 or 6 star character (and normally only 1 or 2 such characters come per set) that is more likely to be 'hornier' as you put it than not.
That being said the game isn't in full-on mobile ad bait territory yet with designs, so not quite hopeless with them yet.
Any context you can provide? That's quite the screenshot.
She used to be a human but was turned into a half demon (which basically means feathers sticking out in weird places) and fights the heroine before she gets brought over to the good side and becomes a romance option. One of the weirder designs in the game lol but as a character she's fine.
I only played about an hour of the first one, but it has to be one of the strangest PS4 games.

given the precedent set with TW3 I can't help but wonder how many graphically murdered (female) sex workers we'll see in 2077 🙄
One of the companions that appears in the game but not recruitable yet is tiefling woman. The datamining also showed that one of the upcoming party member should be halfling woman. So, it should be possible to have full women party in actual release.
The first game is cool mainly for Arnice, though I think the second game is a bit better (and I am biased since it has my favorite character Rue.) You could definitely describe them both as strange. They have a weird atmosphere to them and the story is pretty out there.
Sexualized designs are a lot like the porn industry where it's so abundant and people have become so desensitized that creators are resorting to more extremes and levels of absurdity to get notice. That's how you end up with trees with boobs or feathers growing out of a single breast. If your mobile gatcha game already has 100 waifus and you're competing against the dozens of other gacha games with hundreds of waifus, the artists are really going to dig deep to find something to standout. It's a damn arms race.
And Cyberpunk has been delayed yet again to December 10th this time so I wonder how it's going to go down on that day.

Would anyone here recommend the Nights of Azure games? I tend to enjoy RPGs with romance options, but based on that screenshot, I'm obviously hesitant.

Ah. I was about to post that. What's infuriating is the response is already getting the "Boo hoo, such an overdramatic response..." but Terry is sort of like Steve Rogers crossed with Goku so it's most certainly out of character for him and it just... bugs me that people think it isn't. Really happy and relieved to see SNK agreed with that.
I think the closest he's come to being sexist is one of his FF3 win quotes against Mai is essentially a "Get back in the kitchen". But those translations were never 100 percent accurate anyway. Otherwise he's always portrayed as an honest, humble guy who just likes fighting and relishes in the challenge regardless of gender.

It's like the anti version of saying that a woman character's arms are too big.
Not even just measurements, though that one is really common and skeeviest. I see it all the time with blood type too and am just as baffled by that.
Blood type at least is applied to men and women alike, because it's considered an important indicator of personality type.
Body measurements on the other hand seems to to be pretty much exclusively applied to women, usually in the process of reducing them to figurine status.
To be go further there's nothing inherently wrong with blood types/personality for characters in anime or japanese games, it would be the equivalent of listing their star sign. It's just cultural unlike listing "the three sizes".

And without a doubt the measurements mostly apply to women. The closest I see men get is their height and weight. Which is nothing even comparable really.

I'm enjoying the visual novel Little Busters on Switch at the moment and went on its Steam page to find that they had brief character profiles for all of the characters - the women all have listed measurements where the men do not. Left a bad taste in the mouth.

TvTropes has a smorgasbord of topics relating to tits. Expect every entry for a female character to reference them in some way.
Presumed this was TVTropes, but didn't see how you can have multiple breast-related tropes. I've never come across this myself when I've used the site but then I guess I'm not looking for them or much related to them.
