I haven't spotted any celebrities in public for a while but right now I'm on a flight to Los Angeles and saw Terrance Howard boarding and sitting a couple of rows ahead of me.

I was curious who were others recent celebrity sightings as well.

Most recent is Al Franken. He's so short and squatty in person. I bet he's barely above 5 ft. I have no idea why he doesn't look even fatter on TV. He's an asshole in person too. He treats people like absolute shit.

I live in Maine. My only celebrity sightings ever are Stephen King. And not since 2004.

I saw him in his car once at the Bangor Mall parking lot reading a book.

I saw him walk into the theater in Bangor once. I was waiting in line for food. He and his buddy decided not to wait because the line was too long. I thought maybe he was there to see Secret Window. When I got back to my seat with my girlfriend, she was freaking out a little because he was directly in front of us. We were in Walking Tall, starring The Rock.

Lee Tergesen with his family, while I was waiting in line for Black Santa at JCPenney in midtown. It's the second time I've run into him randomly.

I passed a few feet from Shaq, Charles, Ernie, and Kenny when they were on set at Philips Arena during the playoffs a couple years ago.

That's not really the same as seeing them out in the wild, of course.

A bunch of the Atlanta Falcons did a charity event at the Walmart I worked at, where they took needy kids around the store and bought 'em what they wanted. They all passed right by out of the back while I was working the Photo Lab.

I rang up Lil' Bow Wow and Andre Rison back when I worked at Media Play. I didn't realize who they were until people excitedly told me who they were after the fact, though.

That must've been.....something.
Yeah, he was in Amsterdam for an interview. It was in a cinema near my work, so I decided to drop by during my break. At the end of the interview, people from the audience could challenge Boll to a duel on an arcade boxing machine. It was all rather funny and silly.

Geraldo Rivera. I saw him walking into my office building while I was leaving. He's very short and was using a cane to walk so I don't know if he had just had an injury or if he's just old and uses one. I guess he lives in Cleveland part time now because his wife is from here.

I saw Mike Tyson in a vegas casino. He noticed my drunk wife say "I don't know who that is, but he must be famous to have all these people around him."

Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick at DisneyWorld with their kids. They had their own safari bus in Animal Kingdom. Very exciting.

I've never seen Stephen King, but I know he's out there. In the woods. Waiting to be found.

The only celebrity I've ever met or seen is Caroline Rhea, the woman who played Aunt Hilda in Sabrina the Teenage Witch.

Some story.

You'd have to know your football (soccer) for this one.

in the August we went for the day out in Oxford. Rather than use the park and ride like we normally do, we decided to use the city car parks. While queueing to get into a car park, a gentleman on a bicycle slowly rides past our car, stops by our car to check traffic and then rides off down the street. It was none other than the legend..........

I saw Flying Lotus a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn't want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, "Oh, like you're doing now?"
I was taken aback, and all I could say was "Huh?" but he kept cutting me off and going "huh? huh? huh?" and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw FlyLo trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like "Sir, you need to pay for those first." At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.

When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually "to prevent any electrical infetterence," and then turned around and winked at me. I don't even think that's a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

Jeff Kaplan as we passed each other in the hall of our department yesterday. : P

But for, like, big celebrities... I met/talked with/got a picture with Francis Ford Coppola at a party he hosted right after I moved to LA (almost 20 years now), met Jimmy Smits at Mel's Diner in Hollywood (dude was super fucking nice and humble), politely left John Larroquette alone as I stood in line behind him at Uncle Darrow's Cajun restaurant in Marina sel Rey, walked right past Anthony Kiedis at a coffee shop on Sunset... and a few other sightings of other celebs throughout the years, including Peter Jackson at a Sony lot pre-release screening of LOTR (my buddy's buddy worked for New Line and got us in) and sitting in the booth adjacent to one occupied by Ron Jeremy at Canter's on Fairfax.

My writing partner happened to meet Weird Al at a Pavilions near his house, the lucky bastard! My roommate and best friend got hit on by Gary Coleman when she worked at GameStop back in the day, and also had to disappoint Elijah Wood when he ran in after a phone call just after they sold their last Wii, lol. And my other roommate sold Brian Posehn a Call of Duty game and intentionally refused to give that asshole Carlos Mencia special treatment when he was being a rude douche on two separate occasions. My third roommate's twin cousins were on The Adventures of Brisco County Jr. when they were infants; she's got this sweet old photo of them with Bruce Campbell and Kelly Rutherford at my friend's childhood home.

I try to never bother celebs though, out of courtesy.

Saw Jonah Hill while waiting in line at Howlin' Rays in Chinatown in LA

Ultimately he got tired of waiting in a two hour line and joined us at Chego! where we were getting lunch

Didn't want to bother him though

I live in Turkey, and I detest the local TV/movie scene so I've not seen a single celebrity in...years.

Bono, Enya, Sinead O'Connor and multiple other Irish celebrities. I used to work in the video rental shop in Dalkey, which is full of rich people.

I don't get this thing of citing your sightings. Celebrities are humans, not some rare exotic alien. Go to a film festival, you'll see all the celebrities treated as normal people. You can *gasp* even talk to them. Just accept them as part of the general milieu, not someone you put on a pedestal.

The last was Robin Williams in a GameStop. Sold him some WoW expansion back in the day. Super nice. Also Kanye when he was cool Kanye. Sold him a 4 GBA and a bunch of games. First time I ever saw the "black" AE card.

Conan O'Brian at E3 a few years ago. I literally almost walked directly into him. Im like 6'4 and he appeared to be taller than me. I also saw Major Nelson, someone asked him if Conan was funny. I was also in line with iJustine at a Nintendo booth, and almost played MK8 against her, but I let her friend cut ahead of me.

I wonder if I said to Terrence Howard, "hey I always thought you were the better War Machine". If he would end it there or go on about it for the entire 3 hour flight.

I haven't seen any celebrities.

I live in Lisbon, Portugal. As you can imagine, you don't see celebrities that often. A year ago, however, I was in front of a small local theatre with some friends and colleagues, feeling nervous as hell as we were about to premiere a new show, and we were talking about Game of Thrones. Suddenly, I look down the street (mind you, it's not even a tourist zone), and I think to myself "that guy walking over here sure looks like Jaime Lannister". Lo and behold, he gets closer and... it was Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, in all his glory (seriously, he is handsome). My jaw dropped, he looked at me, smiled and kept walking. If my boyfriend hadn't seen him too, no one would have believed me (my other friends weren't paying attention). What are the odds...?
