Still have mine sealed but not sure if I want to open or put it in a nice safe place for collection. What you guys doing with your copy?

I got it as a birthday present so I felt I had to open it.
That being said I would have opened it either way as I'm not into collecting or keeping things sealed just in case they become valuable in the future.

Other: I like collecting physical stuff, but I also like opening and playing them too (without double-dipping on a digital copy).

Had the physical copy pre-ordered but wanted a change at the pins ASAP so bought the digital as well.

Keeling the physical sealed just in case.

Mine literally just came in an hour ago. Still in seal but that's because I haven't found the time to play it yet. But I definitely plan to this evening.

I played the digital version. I considered picking up a physical copy for collection purposes but it didn't seem worth it.

I opened mine and played it. They released a lot of copies. I don't think it'll be that expensive in the future.

With that said the market for collector games is crazy right now so who knows.

I'm not sure it'll actually stay limited time forever. They announced the same thing for Super Mario All Stars for Wii and that eventually got a reprint as a greatest hits title.

Not a collector. Just bought digitally as it's a game I'll always want access to on Switch and/or any backwards compatible succesor.

weren't millions of copies of 3D all stars printed? seems pointless keeping it sealed

A collector isn't just someone who keeps things sealed or put up. You can be a collector (which is a part of all hobbies) and still use the items you buy.

My copy is open. I don't collect things to sit around, I collect them to use.

Just haven't opened it since I got it a couple days ago. I'll crack it open when I want to play Mario Sunshine.

Maybe I'm alone here, but this is crazy because a collection of Sunshine, Galaxy and 64 is something that would scream collectible to me.

But the nature of the box art just being the three key arts put together, not even anything new, I didn't even buy the physical at all. Just downloaded it as if it were a virtual console three pack. I'm happy to have the games, but it wasn't really a collectible appealing item.

The Great Dark Beyond
I bought it, played a tiny bit of SM64 (up to Bowser in the Dark World), and then shelved it. I don't regret the purchase by any means but it's gotta go into the backlog until I finish some other games (....which takes me an extra long time to do considering I can't stay focused on one game for very long, oops)

But is it really "backlogged" when you beat all three of these when they were all new games? Maybe not. idk.

I'm too lazy to take it out of the wrapping, may as well keep it like that until I actually feel like playing it

Yeah there's a world of difference in collectors with: people who buy and play and buy the game to play, people who buy and keep it on a shelf sealed, and people who buy and sit on it an a potential investment in years to come. There's a lot with sealed collecting that I will just never understand, especially if you don't plan on ever investing/selling it.

Only reason I have a sealed copy is in case my dad ends up getting a switch down the line, and I know he'd love to have these games. Bought myself a digital copy to play.

There's not much point in buying current-gen games as an investment because digital distribution is ubiquitous these days. I know a lot of people prefer physical copies but the older retro games with ridiculous prices have the nostalgia factor going for them primarily, and the fact that many of them you can't even get on digital storefronts legally.

I don't think the price will increase on this one, plenty of copies out there. It may retain its price or near RRP I reckon.

I collect, I don't invest. Playable physical library for life.

Yes, just to get the stupid pins which of course I didn't get. Haven't even played the game.

To be clear I wasn't necessarily planning on keeping it sealed forever, but I keep games sealed until I am actually going to commit to playing them for a while.

This feels like buying beanie babies mid craze. They produced millions of copies. This game won't be rare

I believe in collecting, but I bought and played it. I went with the vote of "don't believe" though since I guess I don't really buy to collect ever, regardless of if I'm fine with others doing it.

I have a sealed copy since launch day I have not opened yet because I'm trying to finish up some other games first.
