Got few oleds around the house but the main one is my 65 E9 in the living room connected to my surround system. I got a cx48 in the bedroom where some consoles are currently connected to.
I also considered another cx48 as a PC monitor, but decided to go with the LG38gn950 UW monitor as it's simply better suited for my PC gaming needs. No regrets.

I have a C8 and am looking forward to impressions of PS5 compatibility with HDMI 2.0 1080p 120 fps with HDR... maybe LG could patch in 1440p120 as ist seems to be technically possible, but that seems to be a pipe dream...

i was just about to order a 65" GX today but they're generally sold out :-( hopefully it's a temporary stock shortage!? (UK)

Grabbed a 75" Q90T and relegated the 55" C6 OLED (burn in) to the bedroom.

Would have loved to go OLED again but the price difference at 75" was crazy, especially after burn in issues with the C6.

There isn't going to be much point in 120hz if you play single player (new gen) only games and want the best image quality is there? It is mostly going to be 4k/60? Is everyone here saying they are buying new TVs (mostly OLED) as well playing a lot of the same multiplayer games to take advantage?

To me this seems like a recipe for burn in if that is the case.

Or are a lot of people playing older titles at 120? I'm struggling to see the point for Series X/PS5 if going single player games only.

Reason I am saying this is because I have a B6 that can have a (burned in) panel repaired or buy a new CX but not seeing why the new tech would be that much better right now.

Almost identically, I moved my 65" burned in C6 to the bedroom and bought the 75" Q80T for the living room. I play too much Rocket League and now I'm reminded of that every time I fire up my OLED.

Are you finding much difference in picture quality? Recently got a B9 and I am debating myself wheter I should return it for a CX.

It's definitely noticable, but that could just be because of the size difference 55" B9 vs 65" CX.

Now I was watching The Revenant on UHD Disc on my B9 and really didn't understand why people were so wowed by the picture quality. After watching it on my CX i got it, it looks very good.

So yes it's noticable, but I don't know if that's just because of the screen size.

I bought a 65" Sony ZD9 and an Onkyo TX-NR656 Dolby Atmos AV receiver a few years back and the idea of
dropping a 2-4K to replace them doesn't really appeal right now.

I guess I will just have to survive on 4K60 for a few years :)

Got my Q90T all set up last night and it's beautiful. I don't regret not going with OLED at all. I fall asleep playing games too often to have to worry about burn in.

Samsung Odyssey G7 32" monitor and a TCL 55" R615 (Maybe 635 if I get the upgrade). Covered on everything but the HDMI 2.1 but TCL says they'll support a lot of the same features.

Very happy with my older 4K TV and no plans to upgrade any time soon. None of the big new features really "wow" me. I had a 144 Hz monitor back when I was PC gaming and it was nice to have but wasn't a game-changer for me. I'm not even really impressed with HDR to be honest. So I probably won't be upgrading TVs for years to come.

Since 4k120 is not happening on these consoles, my Samsung Q70R has all of the supported features:

  • 4k60
  • 1440p120
  • HDR
  • VRR
I know that some very simple games will have 4k120, but nothing will be lost with those titles by running at 1440p

Got a LG C9 earlier this year specifically for the PS5. So I guess I'm ready, yeah.

Got an 8-year-old 1080p Sony Bravia that makes an increasingly loud buzzing sound on certain inputs and I'm ready to rock.

...thinking of picking up the 48'' LG CX if I can make the space for it in my place and in my wallet.

Got my 65" LG CX 2 weeks ago and it's amazing! IMO worth it upgrading from my KS9000.

Just concerned about the VRR issues associated with it. There isn't even a way for me to test it because my 1080 Ti can't do gsync over hdmi :(

Not on this list but Vizio V Series V405-H19. 4K, HDMI 2.1, HDR, 120 Refresh Rate. I was on the fence with this before I bought it, since I was seeing conflicting specs, even on the Vizio website itself. On of the most crazy things was that it said it couldn't do 4K at 60 FPS, which is straight up false based on my actual experience with it. The only thing I'm worried about is the 120 Refresh rate, as I have nothing to test it until I actually get the Xbox Series X hopefully this week. The set is pretty cheap at $230, but It was the only 4K TV I could get at my size I need (40"), so I was worried it wouldn't be able to do all the features that the big boys do.

Have a Sony X85 that I bought for PS4 Pro, just bought a B8 for PS5.

Believe it or not, the B8 is the best TV you can buy in my country, all other options don't exist and importing it's impossible since we have taxes on tech and a new 65% tax over foreing currency.

I'm not worried about these features tho, I'll probably end up playing everything at 4K with raytracing at 30fps. :P

Cant find 48" CX in my country or amazon.de
samsung QLED models in that size are 60hz.
Sony xh90 is 55" minimum
I am running out of options...

Opinions on LG nanocell models? Specifically models 85/86 that i can get in 49" and really good discount.
120hz is not a must but it would be nice. And VRR

By tomorrow morning I'll have my XSX/LG CX 65" combo up and running. FH4 in 4K/60 and Gears 5 120fps are going to up first. AC Valhalla will soon follow....

I predict....gloriousness.

Waiting until 2021 to do a tv upgrade. Spending enough this year between the PS5 stuff and a new iPhone.

Got a LG C6 back in 2016 and can't possibly be purchasing a new TV every 4-5 years, so I guess I'll miss on the new features for a long while.

Not yet since that would immediately make my GPU too slow so it's gonna be a whole thing upgrading everything, thus I'm still a little hesitant. Gonna have to get there eventually tho.

Just bought a 55" GX for my office yesterday - should be here Wed, just in time for Demon's Souls and Miles Morales.

Would have been interesting to see a poll option for people to select who don't have a "next-gen ready" TV, just for a numbers comparison.

Personally between OLED and HDMI 2.1 there's just too much new technology for me to jump in yet. Once everything has moved on over to HDMI 2.1 I'll probably upgrade.

Still rocking my 65" KS8000.

I'm not going OLED until I can get 75" or 77." Staying at 65" would be really disappointing.

Got my CX last week, I don't see myself upgrading my TV hopefully for another 4-5 years.
