White Supremacists Built a Website to Doxx Interracial Couples — and It's Going to Be Hard to Take Down

Racists have published a hate-filled database targeting white women dating black and brown men as “traitors” — and some are being harassed online.

I've been a victim of a similar website. I've gone to the police about it and it's been incredibly frustrating dealing with law enforcement who doesn't know what to do. When I went to the police about my own harassment on a similar web forum they were like, "oh, so is this like an email service is that what that is? is it an email?" I had to explain what an internet forum was. The detectives were even more useless. They said they simply didn't have the resources to deal with it and closed the case.

We have this wild west approach the internet and wall that has a lot of advantages but it's horrifying what people are doing with their freedom. We've seen a rise in hate groups. I think it's time that we hold accountable the hosts of these websites. What they are doing is not free speech, they are engaging in harassment and violence.

How good is cloudfare really? It could protect against a few people probably, but hundreds?

Also it's wild how the right has adopted Russia as a favorable ally

It's next to impossible to police the internet. They've been trying to shutdown torrent sites for decades but they just crop right back up.

I think it's important to discuss the impact this has on victims such as myself. We can talk about the phenomenon without amplifying the actual sites.

There's a racist website dedicated to tracking White women who date/fuck Black men

It's called . It also tracks White men who are supportive of these women. I found out via Twitter. To save you a click, here's the text from the link Vivian shares, which leads to their FAQ page: If you're morbidly curious, just type the site's name into Google, and see for yourself. I'm only...

I think this website is trash and bad for the world but this post is really funny.

Cloudflare routinely handles major DDOS attacks. They are very, very capable, lol. There is a reason why they are as ubiquitous as they are. This is gonna be tough to take down, as the article states.

Well I don't know, that's why I'm asking! There has to be some level they can't handle, I just don't know where the line is.

The "toll paid" shit described in the article is vomit-inducing. A complete one-two punch of virulent racism and disgusting victim blaming.

banning a website from your service simply because you disagree with their views is opening that company up to a slew of lawsuits

It's a little more than just an opinion.

The website names, shames, and effectively promotes violence against interracial couples and families — and it's been circulated in some of the darkest corners of the internet, including in neo-Nazi Discord servers and accelerationist Telegram channels

This doesn't surprise me in the slightest; the same types of people behind this website were the same types of people who created all of those revenge porn websites.

If someone can provide some clarity, but does the US(apologies, but I am assuming this is a US based but Russian hosted site in origin, as the article also mentions other western countries where laws enforce this kind of stuff for what they are, crimes) not have any enforceable hate speech or hate speech related digital laws? Because that appears to be the disgusting and extremely transparent basis of the site, based on the article's provided details.

What I love about the tech companies that refuse to police their backyard is that they set themselves up as taking this noble stand. Nice speeches, blog posts, philosophy 101 musings on how they are the good guys.

They see themselves as internet jesus, taking a stand against an imagined future enemy ("One day, someone will get into power and you will be happy we stood for free speech")...as if the state got that bad they wouldn't just jail them and make em do it anyway, lol.

But in the now? sure, bring in ya child pornography, your holocaust denial, your calls for genocide. But remember WE aren't the badguys here, we just give the badguys funding, a platform, help them hide from authorities...but that one hypothetical day, you will be glad we did.

I had a comment about the article but it's just rage.

FWIW you can probably find a way past CloudFlare caching to identify the actual website in question. So it wouldn't be too bad to do some work which isn't a DDoS.

Probably better to just pressure CloudFlare to drop them, as they've dropped sites in the past.

Really good (and really expensive). Cloudflare is a top tier CDN and easily handles DDOS attacks regularly.

CloudFlare is as cheap as $20 a month. I also work for a mutli-billion yearly revenue company who pays a measly $200/mo for extremely robust and easy to work with protection and caching.

Not to sound like an ad, but just completely forget about DDoSing them.

Not at all.

White supremacists view Russia as an ideal utopia, a white ethnostate where there are hardly any other races and they're terrible to LGBT people. They want that here, just with everything they're used to living in the US.

For the right wingers who just aren't there (yet), Russia is good because Trump says so and it triggers the libs.

The 1st amendment to the US Constitution is viewed through a free speech absolutist's lens. Hate speech or religious "backed" hate speech/discrimination is entirely legal.

Do not forget that to a large number of Americans that LGBT or minorities living is deeply offensive to them and that they currently control the senate, presidency and have been stuffing the courts with their death cult bigots judges.

The first amendment protects freedom of speech in nearly all forms, including hate speech.

Thanks to you both for the additional info and clarity. I'm not a US citizen, and while racism exists everywhere, it astounds me still that your laws don't have a "freedom of speech does not mean freedom of consequences" logical argument built in.

This is not true at all for companies in the US. Private companies can just point to their ToS and say said website broke them due to any set of issues. I believe advocating for hate crimes is a good enough reason.

These idiots would fail any genetic purity test they could come up with.

They're a bunch of losers who got radicalized on 4chan or a similar website and think they'd float to the top in a totalitarian ethnostate.

It is an issue with the legal requirements to change the constitution being difficult to achieve and the deification of the founding fathers as all knowing gods.

While the 2nd amendment is often the easy example of one that needs to go, the first as it stands is just as bad. Massive propaganda networks (Fox and Sinclair) spread hate and violence yet are perfectly legal. They routinely call for the murder of members of both state and the federal government, and yes that is exactly what "2nd amendment solutions" are. As well as any references to guns, e.g. "We came unarmed this time."

The 1st is also used by terrorists as a defense of their actions, see every protestor with a gun. Or more recently see the terrorists that stormed the Michigan state capital building.

So, y'all wanna open my thread back up or nah?

Said I was signal boosting, ain't no bigger signal boost than fucking Vice.

EDIT: I'll admit it was a mistake to mention the site by name and to link to a tweet that linked directly to the site. That was my bad.

This is wildly transparent even by internet hate standards; I imagine this will be rendered defunct or taken down in some form, but it will take some time, and I couldn't imagine exactly how.
