Navy probe finds contractor charged in Capitol insurrection was well-known Nazi sympathizer

An Army reservist charged with storming the US Capitol was a well-known White supremacist and Nazi sympathizer at the Navy base where he worked as a contractor, and was even rebuked for sporting a distinctive "Hitler mustache," prosecutors said in new court filings.

In a shocking revelation, prosecutors said Hale-Cusanelli came to the base last year sporting a distinctive mustache that resembled the Nazi leader Adolf Hitler. One of his supervisors told the Navy investigators that they confronted Hale-Cusanelli about his apparent "Hitler mustache." Another naval officer recalled that Hale-Cusanelli said, "Hitler should have finished the job."

The delusion is real.

He doesn't even seem smart enough to make up some other historical figure with the moustache and say they're actually pretending to be them.

It's like a comedy skit where a guy swears he doesn't know anything about some cult, and then accidentally reveals this huge personal shrine to its leader.

His lawyer should argue that this is clearly not a Hitler mustache and that if it were it would be a very shitty one

What is even the difference between a "White supremacist and Nazi sympathizer" and a "White supremacist and Nazi"?

Colleagues told Navy investigators that Hale-Cusanelli made near-daily comments against Jews, advocated for killing newborn babies with disabilities and had "issues with women," according to court filings. Prosecutors said they found racist memes on his phone, including one with the n-word, one that compared Black people to animals, and one insulting George Floyd.

How the fuck was he in the Navy? Like, he wasn't hiding it. He openly said nazi shit repeatedly.

A few years ago I occasionally used to spot a guy on the train who had a Hitler moustache and haircut. But he always wore old, faded Hawaii shirts wich made it even weirder.

He was an Army Reservist who just happened to work as a civilian on a Naval Station. The Naval investigators got brought in because of things he said to people he worked alongside and interacted with at work.
I was reading about him on Military Times last night and was like "how can people talk about watching for warning indicators and not act on a dude with a Hitler 'stache who allegedly tells people he would kill all the Jews and eat them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and he wouldn't need to season them because the salt from their tears would make it flavorful enough." Because yeah, that is apparently something he said aloud to people.

Way to drop the ball on that one, guys...

Wow. He was trying so hard to be obnoxious that it looped all the way back around so that he just looked sad.

I wonder if he's been reported for this shit before, except other people didn't bother to investigate? Or did no one bother to report him?

Conservative humor is just so fucking shitty that you can't tell who's being genuine and who's just dicking around lmfao. Making fun of minorities and babies with disabilities is the highest brow shit to them

I had a friend who cut his mustache the same way back around 2012 because he figured since he wasn't racist the mustaches was just a mustache, but he was an idiot, all his friends told him he was idiot for doing it, yet he was stubborn too. One day we caught an Uber to White Castle and the driver was Jewish. He had to spend the whole ride explaining the mustache choice. It didn't help he had a large gears of war tattoo on his arm that look militaristic. After the ride he cut the mustache.

He died a few years ago but if he was alive now I would call him on the phone just to remind him he was an idiot for that mustache.

This guy though in the OP..... is clearly a racist nazi.

Because some people he worked with, including his supervisor, agreed with the shit he was spewing.

Getz said he was "proud to have someone like (Hale-Cusanelli) serve under me." (Since his arrest, Hale-Cusanelli has been barred from the Navy base where he worked with Getz.)...When FBI agents interviewed Getz about the discrepancy, he said he wasn't personally offended by Hale-Cusanelli's conduct and wanted to "speak positively" about him to the judge.
