Which iconic Sony studio is the most memorable for you?

1) Naughty Dog (the GOAT)
2) Insomniac (they have a long history of great games, but they earn this spot primarily thanks to Spider-Man)
3) Sony Santa Monica (they have much higher peaks than Insomniac but mostly single franchise)
4) Guerilla (less storied history than the others here but they've established themselves as a tech powerhouse)
5) Sucker Punch (an excellent and well rounded dev but is lacking that standout moment so far)
6) Bend (i like Days Gone but they still have a lot of room to grow and improve)

I came into this thread ready to vote for Psygnosis (Sony Studio Liverpool) only to find out not only that they weren't included in the list, but not one person has yet mentioned them.
Not only did they put out such games as Lemmings, and Shadow of the Best prior to joining Sony, they also created WipeOut, Colony Wars, Formula One, and G-Police.

Tie between Naughty Dog and Santa Monica. I grew up with Naughty Dog (loved all their games), and Santa Monica became my 2nd most known studio to me due to their publishing arm starting in the PS3 era more then God of War (flow, Flower, Journey, Linger in Shadows, Bound, Hohokum, Fat Princess, Playstation All Stars Battle Royale, Datura and more)
I grew up playing Spyro the Dragon and loved Ratchet and Clank starting in high school, so Insomniac Games for sure. Hell, I wanted to work for them as a concept artist before my career and artistic trajectory changed, but I have a friend that works there now which is really cool.
Sony Santa Monica is the reason I buy PlayStations. Insomniac is my next fav then Naughty Dog but I wouldn't buy PlayStation consoles until well after release if it wasn't for God of War. Sony Japan is underrated though.
Polyphony used to be a top team for me but they take to long to make games and each game has been worse at launch for me.

I'm going to say Psygnosis/Studio Liverpool. Wipeout defined what it meant to be playing on PlayStation growing up and as a result I feel the second party studios of the era gave the PS1 a unique feel to Sony's console I think they've lacked since.
As for forgettable I'll say Bend and Santa Monica.

Naughty Dog by far and away.
My association with Crash Bandicoot and therefore Naughty Dog as a PlayStation icon is the whole reason I ever even picked up Jak & Daxter and Uncharted. To this day, I still educate non-gamer people that the studio making The Last of Us is the same one that made Crash lol.

Hard vote for me. Naughty Dog is a given with how much I've enjoyed Uncharted and The Last of Us over the years. Team Ico was really up there for me, both Ico and Shadow of the Colossus are phenomenal games, but Horizon hit me so hard. It pushed such hope in the face of overwhelming odds that in today's world I cannot help but want more games like it.

The first game that was mine to own was Jak and Daxter. (And I'm a weird person who very much enjoyed Jak 2 and Jak 3).
They were a big part of my childhood and continue to make games that I love. No real competition for me. Uncharted 2 and TLoU are among my favorite games ever.

Team Ico is Japan Studio. They're just a team within them just like Team Saru, Team Siren, Asobi Team, Loco Team, etc.
Man, Guerrilla games and Naughty Dog.. but I have to go with ND. First day I got a PS1, rented Crash Bandicoot. My family couldn't afford to buy any games when we got it, so all I had was my Demo Disc 1 and a Crash Bandicoot rental for that day.
I voted for ND due to TLOU and Uncharted, and GG for KZ and HZD, but for me the most iconic was Studio Liverpool (ex-Psygnosis) for WipEout and Rollcage, and partly because I grew up with Amiga, where they had classics like Barbarian, Shadow of the Beast, and Lemmings.
Ha ok so it makes sense that I liked only "these 2".
Guess it was just the same.

Japan Studio is by far their best IMO and should be in the poll, but Insomniac is also fantastic. I didn't like God of War before the new one, which I absolutely adore, so while I'm very optimistic about their upcoming output, I can't rate them as high as the others. Bend is quite underrated, with Days Gone being a surprisingly good game. Naughty Dog is the other way around, Sucker Punch disappointingly hasn't lived up to Rocket: Robot on Wheels yet and Guerilla makes forgettable formula games.
