When you age out of your parent's insurance.

That's when shit gets real for us Americans.

all relative. like at work one of the "younger guys" just turned 50. in some circles that's old AF but there he may as well be 25 or something

I remember being weirded out at 19 when the guy at McDonald's called me "Sir". I'm 30 now and it feels normal. So, probably around 30.

Though Satoru Iwata was considered a young CEO when he died at 55 and Barack Obama and Beto O'Rourke were considered young presidential candidates at 46/47.

I think 35-40 is "middle age", but dying earlier than 60 or even 50-55 seems to be considered "dying young"

It's a matter of your company i think.
If you are 40 and hang around 55 yo people, you are young
if you are 40 and hang around 25 yo people, you are old
It's all relative...

Used to be 30s when I was a kid, but now I'm in my early 30s and feel like society still treats Millennials like kids. Maybe 40 will change that?

If you find yourself having the means to do something, but zero desire to do it. That could be a hint.

I'm in my 30s, and that's how I feel most of time regarding leisure stuff. Today for example, the company I work for is having a party and I opted out of it because my mind was focusing on Monday already.

At least, I will have a free Sunday to do whatever, which will probably mean I will get everyone out of the house so I can brood in peace.

I'm 33 and I don't consider myself young anymore but I don't think of myself as middle aged yet either

I'd say 30 is when you're r no longer classed as young. I still felt young at 30 but definitely got the impression people expected more of me and the mistakes I made were my own by that point.

I will know I'm old when someone offers me a seat on the bus/train/tube...

Until then, I will classify myself as young.

I think it's when you start noticing a lot of characters in media are younger than you.

Like I just saw that Gibraltar from Apex Legends is only 30.

Gonna go with 40. My best friend just turned 35, has an 8-year-old son, and I'd still consider him to be young. I think most of society (over 25 at least) would too.

I think it depends. I'm 32 but look like I'm fresh out of high school so I'm usually still treated like a young person. The only way I know I'm getting older is that when I was young if I hurt myself and went to bed I'd be fine in the morning. Now it takes a couple days to heal. That's about it though.

I think it really hit me with that, "sksksks and I oop" thread. Or the Tiktok stuff. Fortnite dances had me feeling all Benjamin Button-y too.

I'm 33.

Under 30 is Young.

Over 45 is Middle Aged.

30 - 45 is debatable. My personal bar is under 35 being young, but that bar seems to get a year older every year.
