Since we are on the eve of the second half the year, and TLOU2, plus GoT, 2077, and whatever sony could reveal tomorrow, plus maybe something from Nintendo, Halo infinite possibly....it seems like a good benchmark time.

RE3 by default. Been a slow year!

(Will check out Doom Eternal eventually... probably after the Steam summer sale.)

Im still making my way through FFVIIR, which I'm enjoying very much, but so far I'd say its a tie between Ori ''2'' and DOOM Eternal

I have not played P5 Royale but based on playing the base game it should probably be GOTY again

Half-Life: Alyx by a mile so far. Maybe something will come along and knock it off before the end of the year.

I hope its brought to PSVR2 so more people can experience it. Kind of goes under the radar in these discussions being a PC/VR exclusive.

Ehh nothing really standout to me so far this year. Hopefully Cyberpunk, TLoU and next gen games are better. So far I would give it to either DOOM Eternal or FF7. Probably FF7 despite the padding

I've been playing a bunch of old games this year... so the only new game that sticks out to me is Ori & the WotW.

FF7R

Doom Eternal is my disappointment of the year so far.

Honestly, nothing. Nioh 2 was fine but it's not really game of the year caliber. FFVIIR is meh, and DBZ Kakarot sucked.

2020 has been awful so far.

And there are people that thought this year was gonna surpass last year. I've bought 1 game this year and that Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy Of The Duelist: Link Evolution. Great game.

In a year that VII Remake released, it's not that sadly and majorly disappointingly. Animal Crossing bizarrely is my fave so far. But 2 colossal games arrive soon so it could all change.

FF7 Remake.

Surprising since I didn't know anything about Final Fantasy before and it's not my type of game. Got hooked on this one though.

Close, close race between Ori and FF7R for me. Might give the edge to Ori purely because I absolutely loved the music in it, though both have killer OSTs.

Ori is pretty much a perfect platformer. I gotta go with that. By the end of that game, the mobility is just like something I've never experienced.

FF7R was incredible

I still cant get over how fun the combat is, it more than made up for the padding.

I actually haven't played any 2020 game yet, I didn't realize that until just now. I guess it's a slow year for me.
