Lazlo puts on the Cloak of Duplication and suddenly he's talking like Maxwell Smart for some reason. Just ratchets up the nasally sounds by several notches out of nowhere.

Based on that scene with Meg in Episode 2:
I think Guillermo is going to realize that he's gay. His attraction to vampires isn't just that he wants to be one but that he finds them physically attractive.
Seems possible.

The show does "look" a bit different though. Like the cameras or lenses are different, and the overall lighting is designed differently.
I noticed this immediately. It's kind of strange. Not really a fan. Feels like they changed cinematographers; the style of shot is a bit different too.

I really enjoyed the eps.

As to the Wellington Normal comparison, even the worst Shadows ep is funnier than the best Wellington Normal ep.

I thought that was jarring. Matt Berry looks a bit bored.

That seems to be the vibe they're going for with Lazlo this season based on the first two episodes. He actively doesn't care about the Council stuff. I'm not sure that's a good choice, but maybe he'll have something interesting to do with Guillermo.

That was Kayvan Novak doing impressions of all the characters. Those weren't the actors doing a voiceover.
Oh Jesus Christ. lol. Oops.

The voices coming out were so different to what he usually sounds like that I thought they were dubbed over. Like I thought I had seen desync. But I scrubbed through some of the scenes again and yeah that is him.

Kudos to him then, his Colin version was especially good.

It would have been fun if he did Nadja's voice too (that one was dubbed by Natasia Demetriou), but I assume he just couldn't get close enough to make it work. He's made a career out of doing impressions, so it was probably inevitable that they found a way to work it into a story. He did some great physical work embodying the others, too.

Wow that might have been one of the best episodes of the series. Between Colin and Lazlo's jalopy adventure where they actually got along and had a good time to the entire bit with Gail and the werewolves there was not a wasted moment through the entire half hour. Just a jam packed episode but it all came together in the end with the Twilight inspired kickball game which was hilarious and great to see everyone having a really good time together. Oh and uhh that final scene with Gail was kind of horrifying in a funny way.

Nadja constantly getting mad because everyone thinks she hates Gail is a great long-tail joke.

This season had so far just been decent to me. I still enjoyed it but it didn't make me laugh every minute like the first two seasons...until this episode. Agreed that it's one of the better ones ever. As much as I love the entire cast I think the show shines when we get equal time with all of them. It was nice seeing Matt Berry back to his usual self. "BAT!" Will never not make me laugh

There were so many good moments that I'll just list a few of my favorites in no particular order

- The aforementioned running joke about Nadja getting more and more pissed about everyone saying she hates Gail
- The other running joke of Collin getting more and more fucked up by Lazlo's car. The end where he gets lit on fire and is rounding around screaming only to just drop the "act" and start walking back casually while totally on fire got me laughing hard.
- Nandor being totally smitten and saying all kinds of shmaltzy shit. Nadja Doll's reaction to him talking about Gail taking his heart was another moment I bust out laughing as it was mirroring exactly my response.
- Guillermo and the werewolf's heart guard bit.
- The fucking werewolf/vampire bat transformation.

Is it just me, or was this episode kind of disorienting?

The Nadja doll falling backwards on the couch killed me for some reason.

Nandors naked white guy dance probably got me the most. And the aforementioned "bat!" Which as I said before makes me die every single time

The post-credits scene slayed me on this one. Also loved Colin's "actually I'm fine" and Guillermo's intensely bored/annoyed expression when Nandor just turned Gail into a vampire within a couple of seconds.

Edit: They keep bringing up the question of where tf energy vampires actually come from, and my guess is that either they'll come up with something especially clever, or they just follow Discworld zombification rules and some people just come back as energy vampires naturally because that seems to work better for them lol.

Great ep. The best laugh for me was the game at the end when Nadja said she doesn't hate Gail and then kicked the ball.

So we've gotten Vampires (obviously), Werewolves, Ghosts and even variations on those like the Babadook and Wesley Snipes aka the Day Walker. I wonder what the next classic horror monster they'll introduce. Mummy?

When Muse kicked on I lost my shit. I remember an ex gf forcing me to watch Twilight and being a Muse fan thought the song use in the movie was so bad

I love when she was sitting on the corpse and made the quip about how it was a shame it wasn't his face. The perversion on this show cracks me up.

So, penny pornos are not a thing, so where the fuck is Lazlo going to jerk off in public?
Where ever they used to be. Despite the opening sequence showing everyone in contemporary clothing for the era these vampires are very set in their ways.

He's probably going to the boardwalk on FDR Beach and jacking it in the pay for binoculars.

Good guy Lazlo is the best. I really enjoy when he actually goes out of his way to help people. I also loved him playing the opening theme and then leading into a visual tour of the... sights of Atlantic City.

Easily one of the best episodes

"Thanks to modern science Nandor understands that we're all just temporary aggregations of dust and fluid camping out on a big rock that's just one of an infinite number of equally un special big rocks that make up part of this vast and uncaring universe."

"This is science."

"But this is a turtle!"

Wife and I got a hell of a shock at the boxing match near the end, Jesus Christ.

Looks like the neighbour got over his brain scramblies too, which is nice!

I lost it when Lazlo tried to turn into a bat and all he got was a sparrow.

This was one of the funnier episodes and my favorite of the season.

Colin's face early on when the drunk guy at the table fell and caused a commotion. Him sucking up the energy, haha.

First great episode of the season. Any time anything savages Atlantic City I'm there for it. Nandor getting addicted to Big Bang Theory video poker and yelling BAZINGA with enough passion to slide into awkwardness will never not be funny to me. Every time the commercial comes on and he yells that I lose it, and now knowing the full context makes it even better.

This season's been off for me, but this episode was top notch. "But this is a turtle" killed me.

I opened up Hulu and remembered there was a new episode, I don't think my partner and I have laughed as hard as we did in a while. Easily in the top 3.

I definitely thought the first two episodes were a bit off. Last week's won me back a little bit, but yeah, this was an all-time great.

The height of the WWDitS concept is very similar to The Addams Family, where it's at its best when these characters have to interact with the normal world, and this episode ran away with that concept.

I don't know...I think I might drop this. The first season was pretty good but they quickly ran out of steam in S2 and the first episodes of S3 didn't do anything to inspire confidence. In fact they were quite painful for me to get through.

It's a show that's just way too in love with itself but isn't half as cute, clever, or funny as it thinks it is.

I think I prefer Wellington Paranormal at this point, even though it hasn't elicited anywhere near as many laughs as the first season of WWDitS. It just has this gentle, unassuming quality to it that I find more appealing.

I'm surprised to hear you were down on Season 2. I thought it was fantastic and an improvement on what was a great debut season.

I do agree that I'm not digging the new season thus far (3 episodes in). Doesn't seem as funny and doesn't seem to have any sort of story arc.
