I had the original Smart Phone. The Kyocera 6035. It ran Palm apps. It could also connect to WAP websites. Know how? It had an integrated dial-up modem. Yes! It would actually use the cell phone to make analog modem calls. I can't remember how fast it was but I want to say it was like 9600 baud or something.

My current is the iPhone 11 Pro.

Btw, I still own the original iPhone in my closet somewhere.

My work pays for my phones. In fact I've never paid for a cell-phone. I got my first cell phone when my job gave it to me along with a pager. It was some little monochrome 4-line LCD affair but I don't remember the brand or anything. Wasn't even a flip-phone.

HTC Touch Pro 2 running Windows Mobile 6.5 on Sprint back in 2010. Loved that slide out qwerty KB...

Now I use unlocked Samsung Galaxy A30 running Android 9 on ATnT MVNO.

For lovers

Desire Z was pretty sweet. Loved the fold-out keyboard. I've been on a Moto G5 for a couple years now and really wish different form factors would make a comeback. If any company brought out a decent specced phone with a good physical keyboard and minimal bloatware, they would get my money incredibly fast.

The first smartphone I bought was a Blackberry Pearl 8100, nothing big, nothing particularly good except the push mail feature that was kind of new, at least here.

But after a couple of months I switched to a Palm Treo 650 and that I consider was my first real smartphone. Man, I loved that phone, I could do everything I wanted with it. I even paired it with a bluetooth GPS receiver and could use maps on the go before Google Maps was a big thing. Good times.

First one I owned or used regularly? Was lucky enough to have one of the early Android prototypes through work. First one I owned was the HTC Desire. Before those had a Sony Cybershot C905, a nice (for the time) Java feature phone with 8MP camera.

Now I'm using a Huawei P10 Lite. Amazing value phone, and it's a crying shame I won't be able to get another thanks mostly to the bigliest toddler in the world.

I held out for the longest time lol. I think I'll wait until 2021 before I upgrade again.

Galaxy S2 in 2011 lol. Still have it at home! Now I have an iPhone X, and will probably keep it for a good long while. Just used Apple Care and they gave me a brand new phone, with a brand new battery, so unless the 12 does something really cool like bring back the 5S form factor upsized, I have no reason to upgrade

First smartphone was an iPhone 4, before I had one of those folding phones that weren't really smart.
After that I got a Google Nexus 5 which lasted me an eternity.
Now I have a OnePlus 5T and hope it'll last me at least equally as long.

First was an iPhone 4S, which was a major game changer over a crappy flip phone. Currently on an iPhone 11 Pro. The battery on this thing is a beast and that quick charger is a lifesaver.

Nokia 770 internet tablet, I think, counts, even though it wasn't quite a phone.

Technically it was the HTC HD2, which I dual booted with a custom Windows 6.5 ROM and Android 2.2 or something like that.

This was my first one, the PPC 6700. Next was probably the blackberry curve. Currently am on an iPhone 11. I kinda miss physical keyboards.

The HTC incredible S.

It eventually overheated and killed itself in my pocket during an exam. I currently have the iPhone 7 and intend to use it until it also overheats/explodes.

First was a galaxy s5. Second (current) is a galaxy s7.

I made up for missing out on probably 2-4 hardware cycles with gacha spending on One Piece Treasure Cruise. You're welcome, Bandai Namco

My first smartphone was a Lumia 920 around 2012. I really wanted to try Windows Phone back then. Then I got an LG G6 in 2017. Then is suddenly broke a couple of weeks ago and I'm on an LG G8 now.

My first smartphone was the iPhone 4s, currently owning the 8+. I could have updated to the 11, but I kind of wanna update straight to the next one instead.
Before the 4s I had some weird phone that only got released here that had web browsing and gps and whatnot and it felt like the future back then.
