To be fair, I am pretty sure PS4 streaming when it launched also had people having sex on camera.
man, Uno was a wild experience to live through in those days.
Same with the Live from PlayStation during the early months after ps4 launched. Easily the most memorable part about the console in its early days

I once watched people just sitting playing with their dog on Live From PlayStation. It was a great time.
The uStream era of PS4 was a glorious time. People just drunkenly streaming their living room as AstroBot floated around.
I definitely saw a stream once that was cut off all of a sudden, likely due to....er, unsanctioned activity about to happen lol
One of the funnier things I've ever seen. "TTP" (time to penis) was literally almost 0 on UNO.

Yeah, it was awful. Surprised Sony didn't restrict steaming on the Playroom app because of it.
Didn't they remove playroom as a streaming category entirely at one point?
Pretty sure they figured it had worked for Nintendo (gameboy camera) and Sony (eyetoy) previously, and figured the network aspects would just be gravy.
The xbox live ban forums was a gold mine shame they closed it or is it still active?

I think during the early days of online gaming, video chat seemed like the natural, inevitable evolution of voice chat.
Considering voice chat already wasn't a beacon of intelligent, family-friendly conversation - I don't entirely see what else they thought would happen.

I am currently using it as a webcam for my PC with the entire WFH situation and webcam prices being so high.

Unfortunately Microsoft closed it. Thankfully you can still access it using wayback machine.
They had the right intention, but unfortunately people were shit. I remember the first day with Uno and it was fine. After that it was best to keep the games at a friend level.
The only reason I found out it had that feature was because of this years back.
