I was just hired to be a streetcar/trolley/tram/light rail vehicle operator. I just started training, but I'm having fun driving a 100,000 pound vehicle through the streets of downtown Toronto.

Commercial loan officer. I've been on the job about 6 months, so we'll see if I want to make a career out of this or go into something more technical.

Javascript is a mess. Typescript and angular and those things are alright though, but I'd rather see a proper language take javascript's place

Yea. All of our in house stuff we do in c#, which qualifies as a programming language I guess but feels more just like scripting. The ITIL solution we have, which I have to write automation for on rare occasions, is almost all JavaScript, jQuery, etc. A real pain in the ass. It's crazy how so little in Java has advanced since I graduated over a decade ago.

I've been funemployed since September (moved back to the US from Korea and have been working on getting certified to teach here), but I'll be working as a substitute teacher starting next week. Obviously that's not really a career though, but at least it'll pay the bills for now.

Looking for a full time graphic designer (or at the very least freelance part time, but I don't really know how to get started with that) or teaching job though, at this point I just want to be working again.

Structural Engineer.

Been at the same company since graduation, nearly 10 years now. I'm the department head and love my job. Definitely got lucky considering I graduated in 2009 when the market was rough.
