It's not Christmas until I've watched Scrooge (musical version with Albert Finney) on Christmas Eve
Christmas Vacation is a glaring omission. Anybody here have love for Four Christmases? I feel like it's probably the most slept on Christmas movie.

Christmas Vacation and swedish movie "Santa is the father of all children" wich is just an amazing comedy.
As always, it's the 1951 take on A Christmas Carol, "Scrooge", staring Alastair Sim. Criminally never got a decent bluray release, hoping someone decides to give it a 4K release some day.
Do like Die Hard, Home Alone 2, Muppets Christmas Carol, Batman Returns and the 70s Finney musical of christmas carol too

The Muppet Christmas Carol the GOAT followed closely by Die Hard, Scrooged, Jingle All the Way and Christmas Vacation.
Ooh, this is is a good pick. I haven't seen most of the poll options in like 25 years (and have never been one to watch Christmas movies at this time of year tbh), but I have a ton of nostalgia for The Snowman. This is Christmas to me.Tough choice, but +1 for The Snowman.
I also detested It's A Wonderful Life as a kid, but it's my favourite Christmas film as an adult. I think it's a story that requires a certain amount of world-weariness to appreciate.
The three favorites that my wife and I watch every year are Blackadder's Christmas Carol, Muppet Christmas Carol, and White Christmas.
All others are chosen based on whatever we're in the mood for, haven't seen in a long time, or have never seen. Glad I checked this thread because I forgot about Klaus, which was really good and one I'd like to rewatch.

But thank you for this because this is easily the most underrated, beautiful and lovely film.
It's Muppet Christmas Carol. My wife and I have a tradition where every day in December we watch a different Christmas movie with no repeats. 5 years and over a hundred movies in and it's still at the top.

Oh man, I was going to say Gremlins, but this is a good choice.
In fact, the Cinematic Titanic version of this is really good, too. As is MST3K Santa Claus and The Christmas that Almost Wasn't. Really has me excited for the Christmas episode for next season.
This is my number three after Home Alone and Die Hard. I love them all so much they're all my number one really.
Much as I love the Muppet Christmas Carol, I will put the Finney film over it for musical adaptations.
