Living in a coutry that respects me more as a human being for being gay is the biggest one. Slowly but surely working towards that.

Outside of that, my biggest dream was always travelling around the world. Not every country but a lot of them.

  • To write a screenplay/novel/ or just get confident enough to publish something that people end up liking
  • Have a decent sized house with plenty of surrounding nature - Fully sustainable if needs be
  • To get so fit and strong (Plus resolve current health issue) that I can participate in triathlons and other crazy sporting adventures
  • Not worry about money
  • Live a healthy and happy life and peacefully pass at a good old age.

🎵 I have dreams like you, no really! Just much less touchy-feely. That mainly happen somewhere warm and sunny.

On an island that I own. Tanned and rested and alone.

Surrounded by enormous piles of money!

As much as I enjoy teaching I want out of the classroom.
I've seen the creativity and freedom of my career slowly be taken away as more demands are put upon us and the further homogenization of each classroom and its teacher. While there's definitely valid positives for heading in the direction of all teachers working on the same goals, most admin I've worked with in the past 10 years have been nothing but number crunchers more interested in seeing test score gains than kids actually learning (and retaining) anything of meaning.

I want do something related to my hobbies. I can't really sculpt myself, but I'm determined to get models for tabletop games that match the stuff in my head, even if it means I hire somebody to do the legwork for me.

I want my kids to be successful and independent. I worry about them and want to see them realize their potential.

Become an Art Director. Bam, after 20 years in the industry making games I finally got my shot. Was a total blast.

I want to own a cozy video game themed cafe here in Portland. With how rent is atm and obviously Covid it's very far off though

My dream with wife is to save enough money that we can buy a lot to build our dream house on, then after the house is built, rent this apartment that we're in.
So we are trying to amass a lot of money to have something before other new mortgage...

For me, to finally get better at something, to raise my child the best I can and to be the best self I can. But I am always finding reasons to not work on self or exercise.

To see a world where human beings live with the world instead of living like outsiders trying to combat it for psychological games.

Same as yours! Guess it shouldn't be too surprising that so many folks on a gaming forum want to make a game. I'm going on 34, been in the professional gamedev industry for 10+ years, but I've never actually taken the plunge and tried to make something of my own, so one day I just said fuck it I'm gonna do it. Working on a prototype in my free time and saving money so I can move out to the country somewhere and spend a few years working on it full time. No idea if much will come of it in the end, but it's a definite bucket list thing for me and I'm not getting any younger lol. Best of luck to everyone here achieving your dreams :)

Honestly, I don't know anymore. The past two years have caused me to question all of my decisions.

My dream is to buy a large amount of some seemingly worthless sub $0.01 cryptocurrency that eventually increases in a value by a tremendous amount, thus becoming filthy stinking rich.

Health and happiness for my family with a side order of shed loads of money.

So far we are very comfortable but I'd love to be able to semi-retire at 50 so I can spend more time with my family, travelling and enjoy hobbies.

Enough passive income so if I work it's by choice, and not because I need the money.

Midgar, With Love
I love where I currently work and intend to keep contributing for years and years and years, but my professional dream is to break into the bigger, well-paying, gigs. I've made my first dent. I have a long way to go.

Employment aside, I want to live in a log cabin out in the middle of nowhere. In a forest. By a river. The whole shebang.

My dream is similar to yours OP. I've been off and on designing my indie project for years, and I've gone into full production due to the pandemic.

My dream is for my game to be on a Nintendo console. Bonus dream points if it's shown on a Direct or Nindies presentation.

More than anything I want to be independent. No bosses, no expectations. Just me and possibly a small team working on games that we love.

High five! Let's do this!
I'm probably too late for this already, but I desperately want my game to be on Vita. As silly as it sounds, I have a lot of love for that handheld.

Actually i think my dream is just to have my own space and share it with someone special and to be a better person.

I'm new to having dreams though so i'm not really planning for it.

I dream about making a video game sometimes, but I don't think I have the ability to design every little intricate aspect of a game, nor the ability to manage a small team to develop something.

My dream is probably to transition to a state where I can pass as both female and male, retire early, be accepted by all my friends and family, have at least one partner who I experience mutual emotional and physical love with, have all of my other little desires satisfied, and spend my days gaming and volunteering. And also make an impact on a gaming community I care about at some point.

Chicagoland
Born in Chicago, within the actual city limit, on the north side. My "dream" is to live in the suburbs, meaning within the actual geographical limits of the Chicago area meaning one of the many (more than 100 individual Named suburbs, "villages", "townships", or just "towns" and small "cities" that are spread out over at least six (8 now) entire Counties, in Illinois.
In other words, to live in what is considered to be (by nearly everyone in this country) "SUBURBIA". or "THE BURBS". The so-called "boring" suburbs.

That's it.

Well I already do. I've lived in the suburbs of Chicago since I was 5 and a half. My dream was way too easy to reach. I don't have any other dreams.
The only guarantee that remains in my life is death, and taxes.

I'm a simple man.

Raise happy, healthy, and moral kids.
Continue to enjoy and appreciate my wife.
Have a ful career.
Pay off the mortgage.

I should work out more but I don't. Def have a goal to get back in shape.

Further out, more long term goals are to travel again. Damn you, COVID. And someday buy a late-model Viper and a gold Rolex Day Date.

WAY down the road? Retire early and maybe get a lake house.

But in regard to like, an aspirational, probably unlikely thing to day dream about?

Quit my job, move to Southern California, and surf all day, every day.

I've always wanted to start one of those cat cafes that house shelter cats. Or just a humble little house that's been bought that just houses a bunch of shelter cats (there's one like that in my area, it's very cute).

Don't think I'll ever have the funds for it, but a dream's a dream.

cant tell if serious. i mean all of this is doable in a lifetime, but it reads like a joke on resetera, haha. I hope you achieve it all.
Very serious. It seems more obtainable than you'd think, truth be told. The UNESCO part is probably the hardest aspect; there's like a thousand of those things.

My dream is to be able to afford PAX West on a regular basis. It's up the street but it's always right before my birthday and sold out. It's nice to treat myself once a year or so.
