What is this garbage design doing in my Atelier game?

It fucking sucks that I have to run on a check on every modern JRPG for this type of shit, after it entirely ruined Xenoblade Chronicles 2 for me. I've always thought Atelier seemed interesting, but my one reservation was that it looked a little too weeb-pandery -- this definitely pushes it off that cliff.
I said it in the other thread, but the worst part is that the MC's rack is massive if judged by real world standards.
It's not like this ingame. Like for every game, concept art is always different.
Yet they had to insert another character with ridiculous zeppelin tits because weebs don't know what actual big boobs are anymore.
Saw the top left pic on twitter and didn't think it was that bad, but the bottom row is so awfully off putting.
I wish someone would just make a clone of the the game system with non-shitty designs. The crafting is so much fun, and I haven't found another game that does something like it.

When I played Atelier Lydie & Suelle, I was very very thankful for the "nostalgia costumes" that harken to less fanservice-y games

The hell are you on about OP? The whole game looks like your typical anime sexualization of female characters, but you only want to call out this design? Obviously they know that fans of the series like you seemingly had no problems with the previous awful designs so why not go further?

I've never played an Atelier game but I've heard good things so this will probably be my first entry. People in this thread are acting like the series is dead cos of one over-the-top character design

I read this thread and walked out to the nearest Yamada Denki to pick up the game. No excuses, it hit me right in the "guilty pleasure" centers.
The series was known for being different from most JRPG's these days. As in they mostly kept this shit to a minimum. So why the hell should people being drawn to the series for that fact buy it when it is starting to change into what they hate?

This is just dishonest. You definitely know that site has material that would be banned on most sites, and is illegal in many countries so its a fair warning.
This is the first truly bad one. The others in the series are pretty good in the character design department and I recommend them.
