For real, it's just fine. I think it gets hyped up mostly by people who haven't been, have only been while out of town, or ex-pats who don't have it near them anymore. It's the In-and-Out of the south.

I've never been to a Waffle House, but then again I more prefer french toast or crepes, which are not their specialty. IHOP wins for availability and variety. The local dinner my family would go to sometimes when I was a kid wins the nostalgia factor. Also, I really miss Perkins.

I mean, real maple syrup is priced like liquid gold, and I'd have to assume folks would be wasteful with something like syrup at a restaurant in general...so I'd assume none do? I bought a small glass bottle maybe a month ago n it was like 9-10$.

Wow, what's the point of going out for pancakes and not having maple syrup on them :0 ? Just make the pancakes yourself then and get some maple syrup from the grocery store..

IHOP doesn't have real maple syrup, and a quick google says neither does Waffle House. So I guess they're both jokes? Do any of the places in the poll have real maple syrup?
