I want suggestions of games to play that have BEAUTIFUL art. Here are a couple that I've played I enjoyed so far.

Persona 5 oozes style from the character designs to the menus

Maybe a weird choice but I also love Xenoblade 2's art, too bad the resolution is abysmal

Bloodborne is another fav.I think its the best looking soulsborne

Sonic Mania, both the official art and in-game sprites

Same extends to most of Japanese classic Sonic (never liked how he looked in the western box arts)

And Breath of the Wild's muted, delapidated beauty is something to behold

Okami was one of the most visually striking games I've played.

Xenoblade Chronicles also had incredible art direction.

Cuphead is an easy answer. The art design is just so thorough and consistent. There are no breaks in the illusion to remind you "Oh right, I'm playing a video game on a modern platform".

This is Zineth. I love the style of this game. It's Jet Set Radio meets Moebius.

the film noir/art deco look of Grim Fandango will always have a soft spot in my heart, too.

Genshin Impact. It's so pretty, cute and charming my tooth aches:

(The English voice actors make my ears ache though, lol.)

Apart from that I do also like Sony's hyperrealism that's really vibrant and clean like in Horizon Zero Dawn, God of war or Spider-Man:

A more muted but very atmospheric kind of that hyperrealism appeals to me also in games like Shadow of the Colossus:

Anything from Supergiant, but Pyre in particular just really does it for me.

Some I love:
- XIII: Really neat usage of cel-shading in a first person shooter
- Gravity Rush 2: cartoon visuals with a good amount of detail (such as individual items at storefronts)
- Cuphead: I love the Fleischer animation style

The eastern european games just know how to make lived in , dirty grounded worlds like no one else
HL 2
RDR 2
Are the closest that I got to that lived in feel from big western AAA studios .
Mass Effect 1 . The low budget 70s sci fi aesthetic is just god damn rare in games

Metal Gear Solid 2. Sleek, near future but still sci-fi.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon 2 has some really colorful spritework that I'm a fan of. The new Guilty Gear looks incredible, too.
