Yeah, it's another Steam Deck thread, but I don't think anyone's asked something like this so hopefully this thread is ok. If not, my apologies ahead of time.

Your Steam Library is about to go portable! My Steam Library is modest at best, I don't have many "AAA" games or highly graphical games but people around here might have a game I don't have that would be pretty impressive to play in a portable setting.

As such, I'm always looking to expand my library of games. There are thousands of games out there, so think back to the past or present, what's a game that would blow your mind on the Steam Deck?

Running Dark Souls 3 and Sekiro at 60 fps would be quite impressive for a handheld PC. Yesterday I was thinking Elden Rig wouldn't be able to run at 60 fps, but now I'm not sure.

Really, I'm interested to see how these games, which were designed with a larger monitor in mind, will work on a 7 inch screen. Especially if the UI elements are not adjusted with a smaller form factor, such as an RTS.

Having the full-fat 60fps Half Life 2 and Halo 3 experience on a handheld has always been the dream. We'll now be able to play every Half Life (apart from Alyx) and Halo game at 60fps on a handheld.

Halo: Infinite on a handheld at release.

My number 1 favorite game that I have nearly 1,000 hours in after 10 years.

Fallout New Vegas....with Mods!

The other two I see myself playing a ton are Xcom 2 and Civ 6 (Even though I do have Civ on Switch) as those are games I can't stop playing on PC.

Replaying all the Valve games portably just seems like a no brainer too.

Look forward to playing some Divinity I and II, maybe some other PC RPGs.

I can't do RPGs on desktop anymore, I get bored. But I feel like relaxing back with a handheld might get me back into them.

I'm curious to see how Doom Eternal compares to the Switch port.

720p/60fps is basically a given. The Series S runs the game at 1080p/120fps and 1440p/60fps and a quarter of the Series S performance is the bottom end performance estimate of the machine (I.e. power limited to the lowest clock speeds).

Compare that to the ~480p Switch version with cut back settings and an uneven 30fps and it's going to be complete night and day. A perfect visual demonstration of the sheer technical leap forward.

Also other Capcom games, Yakuza , ZOE 2, Death Stranding, etc... will be nice.

Elden Ring will be sweet come January as well.

It's not necessarily mind blowing but I was waiting for the switch port of disco Elysium. I'm just gonna buy it on steam now and that feels great lol

Midgar, With Love
I only own three games -- the Trails in the Sky trilogy.

Playing these on a console is going to make my bloody week.

Kinda hate that I own RDR2 and Disco Elysium on EGS now. Saved a lot of money, but this makes a good case for just going pure Steam if I really like the Deck.

The Yakuza games would be amazing. If it can handle the Dragon Engine games decently, that would make it a cop for me.

Flight Sim, and for what i have seen it's runs incredible right now on a GPD Win 3. In the Steam Deck it's going to be unbeliable.

And obviously Elden Ring, god damn this thing is going to be amazing!

Edit: Add to that mix Forza Horizon 5. The 4 runs at 30fps ultra on a GPD Win 3.
