Confusion

"It sounds kinda familiar but like in an old people kinda way. Way before my time, I think?"

There is a series of YouTube videos that emphasize "haunting logos and corporate theme song nostalgia". I need to find it, I think someone on Era shared it recently but it absolutely fits this.

I watched a lot of Hanna-Barbera when I was a kid but I've no memory of that logo. I mean, it could be walking down the street and I wouldn't know a thing. Sorry to this logo.

eh. saying this as someone who watched those.

For some reason i used to have an intense negative reaction on filmation cartoons where they had the producer's names in a revolving circle.

I've seen that enough that even with the video muted, I could still hear it in my head.

I woke up way too early on a school day and am watching Cartoon Network at 4AM to lull myself back to sleep.

So nostalgic with a mix of tired.

My immediate thought is CAPTAIN CAAAAAAAVE-MAAAAAAN!

There was a restaurant in Houston that we went to a once that had a big boxing ring in the center where Hanna-Barbera characters would fight in their stuffed costumes. I was like 4 or 5 when we went, but I still remember Top Cat fighting Snagglepuss.

It wasn't Hanna-Barbera Land, which operated in Houston from 1984 to 1985 (killed by Astro World), because I definitely moved back to Atlanta in 1983 when I was 6. I'm 43 and still remember that shit.

Nostalgia.

I grew up watching Hanna Barbera cartoons on Cartoon Network during the late 1990s and early 2000s.

They dont make shows like them anymore.

Funny cause most of these shows came out before I was even born lol.

It reminds me how much I dislike Scooby Doo. Like I don't hate the concept of Scooby Doo. (Kids solving wacky mysteries with a supernatural tone) I just don't like how Scooby Doo is executed as a show, specifically. It's just so slow, old, and not how I think. Idk really.

Perhaps that is heresy, but I accept that.
