Back in the 80's we watched cartoons from the 60's and 70's and didn't complain!

For some reason i used to have an intense negative reaction on filmation cartoons where they had the producer's names in a revolving circle.

I'm 38, lol. I grew up watching them in the 80's and hated them back then too, would've rather watched Real Ghostbusters, Ninja Turtles, GI Joe, Transformers, etc.. Just a bunch of bad animation and characters I did not care for. The only good that came out of them was Space Ghost and Harvey Birdman, ha.

There was a restaurant in Houston that we went to a once that had a big boxing ring in the center where Hanna-Barbera characters would fight in their stuffed costumes. I was like 4 or 5 when we went, but I still remember Top Cat fighting Snagglepuss.
It wasn't Hanna-Barbera Land, which operated in Houston from 1984 to 1985 (killed by Astro World), because I definitely moved back to Atlanta in 1983 when I was 6. I'm 43 and still remember that shit.

Bingo. They were so shitty; and shitty in their own time. They weren't really old, they were just bad. And I sat through so many of them waiting for good shows to come on.
Hanna-Barbera never made a bad cartoon. They were all great.
I'd agree with you if Grape Ape didn't exist. Overall though I loved Hanna-Barbera.
It reminds me how much I dislike Scooby Doo. Like I don't hate the concept of Scooby Doo. (Kids solving wacky mysteries with a supernatural tone) I just don't like how Scooby Doo is executed as a show, specifically. It's just so slow, old, and not how I think. Idk really.

There's a weird, discordant, uncanny-valley-esque vibe I get from HB cartoons like they were made by aliens pretending to be humans or something. I can't describe it but they just feel so off to me.
They have many shitty cartoons no one remembers, like Clue Club or Laverne and Shirley in the Army
