I think they are among the best to chill out. I am playing the Indiana Jones one atm thanks to Gold and I love it.

I grew up playing them so I am biased, but damn it I love them so much. One of the games I am most excited for is Lego Star Wars the Skywalker Saga. They are just simple and pure fun and also great co-op gaming experiences

The Pirates one is the best one, fantastic levels, fun puzzles, no talking and classic jack sparrow noices and other great visual gags and slapstick humor.

Me and my Brother played that one a lot and had an absolute blast.

They kinda lost me when they started having dialogue and the humor being hit or miss depending in the writing.

But I'm curious about the new star wars, hopefully it's bringing back what made them good

Good mindless fun. They're all pretty samey, but I've played way more lego games than I care to admit.

I really dug them consistently though to around 2018. I played Force Awakens and Dimensions back tot back and found both boring so I'd figured I'd just moved on from them. But then I played DC Supervillains in '19 and absolutely loved it. I think it was less I had grown bored with the series and more those two were just not great games.

At this point the only one I've not played is Marvel Superheroes 2. I don't really know why but whenever I see that one it does nothing for me, despite Marvel 1 being my favorite of the series.

I'm really looking forward to Skywalker Saga next year, and I'm very curious as to what the new project TT Games is hiring for is.

Individually pretty solid, but the handful I've played throughout the years have all been basically the same game design-wise. I can't imagie playing all of them; sounds absolutely exhausting. I still like Lego City Undercover best.

I used to quite enjoy them as chill out games every now and then. I got completely burnt out on them when my son started playing games though. You'd have to pay me to play another one if it's the same style. I'm slightly curious as to how the new Star Wars one is though.

Stopped playing them consistently around the time Lego The Hobbit released but picked up some individual titles (marvel super heroes 1 and 2)

Uninspired, formulaic games that are sprinkled sparsely with humorous bits. From my experience, even kids don't care to complete them. But they work decently in coop if you need to kill some time.

I think it would be easy to get burned out on them. I've played and enjoyed the original Star Wars one, and the Complete Star Wars one, along with Batman 2 and Marvel Super Heroes. I love Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings and Jurassic Park but I think playing all those too would make me sick of them.

They're fun and easy to pick up. Good games to play with kids where you can have fun too instead of just pretending to

Musou for kids

The newest ones are not that good because they loose that feeling, but anything before the MCU one is glorious

On the whole I tend to like them, but I am choosy about which licenses I play. I absolutely LOVED Marvel Superheroes. I hope we get a MSH3.

The first Marvel Superheros games is brilliant. So many side missions, quests and neat inserts. Really worth playing.

My daughter and I played through all of Harry Potter together and loved it. Oddly didn't get on with Undercover or any of the Batman ones.

They used to do that. But then Travellers Tales came in and I assume outsold anything else? Because they only really released their games from now on.

Lego Lord of the Rings is unironically the best LotR video game we've got in the last 15 years

which says more about WB Games' horrible use of the license, but hey.

I've started playing a few of them and they're too basic/boring/samey to hold my interest for long.

When my kids were smaller we had lots more fun playing the Skylanders games.

While I love the Lego games, I can't help but being a little disappointed by them lately. I liked the Xbox 360 generation better. All the more now I play them on series x in glorious 60 fps.

I find the PS4 era titles much more generic, on the brink of being endless collectathlons with too much focus on superhero franchises, while also lacking personality. I'm replaying Pirates of the Carribean and it's a relief compared to the more recent games. It has tons more charm and fantasy for me. Same for The Hobbit, Harry Potter, Indiana Jones, early Batman and Star Wars titles...

I have high expectations for the new Star Wars title. It's good they skipped a year (Or two?). Hopefully it's a return to form with a bugfree release.

Loved them when I was younger and LEGO Star Wars Complete Saga is still my favorite one despite me not being big on Star Wars at all. They started to get pretty repetitive after a while though, I stopped playing around the time they added voice acting to the games (big mistake imo, the pantomiming made cutscenes way more charismatic than now).

I really enjoyed Batman 1 and Pirates but the visual humour was a huge part of the charm for me so the addition of voices diminished that greatly.

They are nice to play in co-op with your children. Not too taxing, until suddenly you get to an area with no apparent way to progress. You break every piece of LEGO you can find onscreen and yet nothing happens. You eventually resort to YouTube to find a way out of this hell and you find out you just didn't see a couple of broken pieces of LEGO bobbling away, waiting to be rebuilt into an escape route.

And then the cycle begins again.

IMO Pirates is the best "non speaking" LEGO game.

The Hobbit is the best "voiced" LEGO game.

They're surprisingly fun if a bit shallow and often obtuse in how you progress.

Lego Ninjago is probably the best recent one in terms of combat, as you're given more control over the fights. Too bad the license itself and the structure of the game isn't as interesting. Weirdly, it also has some split-screen modes like king of the hill/capture the flag that would be fun were they more fleshed out.

I think I've played them all at this point except the Incredibles and the (second/remake?) Indy one.

They are a guilty pleasure, they are entertaining and I quite enjoy going back to previous levels with new characters to see new things.

I've only played the Ninjago game they gave away this summer. I had a good time with it, but I can easily see myself getting tired of the collectathon formula after a while.

I think they peaked in 2011 but then after that with the marvel stuff they got way up their ass with some of the QTEs. Got really annoying. They've mellowed out again some. I just haven't gotten back to one in a bit.

Love Lego Pirates and Lego Star Wars 3. I played Indiana Jones when I was younger. It is a bit boring to go back to, but I still think it and 2 are perfectly good games. TCS I don't think has aged as well as I hoped it would :/. I also think LOTR is a bit overrated. It's a very solid LEGO game, but ehh, not the the best.

Only tried a few of them, they are always initially fun but I would end up hitting points where I had no idea what to do.

I've only played the LotR one alongside my wife and absolutely loved it. None of the others really interested me, though I was kind of interested in The Hobbit version.

Whenever I need to just play a fun game where I don't need to think, Lego games usually scratch that itch. They're just comfort food for me and familiar even if it's a Lego game I haven't played before

I enjoyed the Lego Star Wars games on DS because they were glitchy as fuck.

Lego Island was also glitchy and that's the GOAT lego game IMO.

Lego games are made better by being weird messes than the polished corniness they go for today.
