In Las Vegas right now with some friends and bout to head to the strip. We love roulette since we can just bet on a color instead of a number and win. Any other games to look out for or everything is just pure luck or rigged against us.
There is nothing illegal about counting cards and it's essentially the casino getting mad at you being good at blackjack. Anything you win they won't take from you, but they will just kick you out.Blackjack, then craps or roulette.
Unless you want to count cards. Don't count cards.
Roulette can be a near 50/50. With proper study Blackjack and poster can be a bit more than just luck based.
Is there a good rundown of how you're supposed to play blackjack? I understand the rules of the game, but it seems like all these ways to piss off other players at the table if you aren't "playing right".

If you are looking to minimize losses as a novice, the easiest play is Craps. Bet the minimum amount on the Pass or Don't Pass line and put as much as you can afford per bet on the Odds. Playing the Don't Pass side is known as the darkside and has ever so slightly better odds but know that you will be betting against the table.
I would just play minimum pass (let's say it's $15) and then double or triple that in the odds $30 to $45).

I don't expect to make any huge money or anything. I just want to make at least my money back or if I'm lucky a little more on it. My last two Vegas visits managed to make my $20 back at least. :)Do not go into a casino fretting about how to make money.
You won't.
Give yourself a hard limit in cash you are willing to burn, and do not go over it. It is no different than going out to a movie theater, or a concert: you are paying money to have a good time.
Leaving during a dealer change frees up the table of bad players. It's good for the game.Blackjack can be fun to play with a bunch of friends at the table.
If you're doing well, and they change dealers, leave.

Sometimes, when I go to a casino I find an out of the way digital blackjack machine and play with an odds chart like this one open on my phone:
I'm not sure if that's allowed or not, but again I'm talking about the dinky blackjack on multi-game machines, not the actual table games with dealers and other people. I believe the odds are slightly worse on the machines, something with how blackjacks are paid out, and the chart is by no means perfect but if you stick to it you'll do at least a little better than going in willy nilly with your gut.
Just go to the nearest roulette table and slap that crisp $20 on red. If it doubles then do it again. If you lose then you walk away. You're not really missing out on anything trying to stretch $20 at a casino.Today I saw someone play some Konami game and she had $59 credit and won like $200 and stopped. Man I wish I could was lucky like that lol
It's very likely that person is down hundreds or thousands over their gambling lifetime.Today I saw someone play some Konami game and she had $59 credit and won like $200 and stopped. Man I wish I could was lucky like that lol
Yep, you can set the card down at the table, but every casino I've been to tells you to put your phone away. It's allowed, even at tables, and I'd highly recommend it. They may not allow the phone if they don't allow phones generally, but they'll allow the little basic strategy cards you can buy from stores for $2. No reason for the casino to care, they still make money from basic strategy.
General note - if you're following the card and someone recommends you do something else, politely ignore them. The card is right.
Isn't that because you're essentially betting on a glorified coin flip
The odds for a player's hand to win in a game of Baccarat are 44.62% and the chance for a player to lose is 45.85%. The chance for a hand to end a tie is 9.53%. If you do not include the chance of getting a tie in your calculations, the banker has 51% win
odds all the time.
Wrong. Betting dealer in Baccarat is better.Better to just put your money on red/black. Closer to 50/50 than Baccarat.
Yup.
