What can we realistically expect from Series S’s performance?

There's a lot of speculation and confusion on how well this machine will run next gen games. Can anyone chime in with an accurate assessment of what to expect from the specs this machine has?

If it's targeting 1080p or 1440p, it's going to run games considerably better than the Xbox One X did at 4K.

I predict GPU heavy scenes/tasks will need to be optimized for the Series S.

In all seriousness, there are many things a developer can do to limit/reduce GPU load. I suspect it will not be hard to develop for at all. It will still require work, but not as much as the doomsdayers are saying.

It has the same RT accelerating hardware as the series X. If a Series X RT game targets 1080p, the Series S would have to drop below that.

I'd imagine it's the same as the XSX just at a lower resolution. I have no doubt MS engineered the shit out of this box to make sure it will hit all the tick marks otherwise that's some really bad egg on their face.
