This is a Star Wars character design thread. The masks stay on.
Fun thread idea, great to see the range of peoples' preferences. Mine are in no particular order...
Cloud City Leia. I'm more a fan of this from the waist up, the bottom looks a little goofy. Credit for the hair design especially.
han Solo (Empire). Simple and classic.
Imperial Guard. People have already covered this. Iconic
Tie Pilot (classic). I feel like most SW pilots get slept on, but ifI have to choose ons, it's this design, especially the Jedi versions, by which point they had refined the look.
Captain Phasma. Disappointing jobber, but that design does it for me.
Honorable mention to Enfys Nest and any Mandalorian design. Unfortunately the latter has just gotten too diluted and overused but still a classic.

This thread is here to remind us that as much as we can shit on star wars, the people behind the designs and their overall cohesiveness are really doing a great job.

It's good but also too bad because there are so many cool designs that end up on minor characters who we barely see.
(Or, for General Grievous, used on someone who really isn't a cool character besides his design)
Really want to see anime studios' take on Star Wars with the Visions show later this year.

The prequels had some damn good designs I have to say. Maul particularly in trailers and figurines seemed to be on his way to iconic
Regardless of what hands it is in, Star Wars has always been able to recruit the best artists. It's probably the most common dream gig among people working in that area of concept design, and that all goes back to Ralph McQuarrie. Through his work on Star Wars he basically invented the job as we know it today. And despite so many artists taking his work as inspiration and building upon it, his amazing art can still stand toe-to-toe with anyone else's.

Fennec from Mando S2 has one hell of a design. The red webbing in her hair and badass coat. Bad ass.

Here's D'harhan. He was a guy. They modified his body, took off his head and replaced it with a giant cannon and then stuck his brain in his chest. He's got a little keyboard he uses to communicate through a screen output on his body.
He's the best.

in the same mando t-visor vibe, I thought the Phase 1 arc troopers had some great style

Love the color scheme and pristine look of Jango's armor; looked really good in the Kamino fight scene.
Darth Revan:
The robe and mask combo gives strong Palpatine and Vader vibes, and seems fitting for an ancient Sith Lord.
Sith Stalker (Tatooine):
Not a huge fan of The Force Unleashed games, but the Sith Stalker is one of the scariest looking designs in Star Wars. I think I like the Tatooine version a little bit more than the other two; the Tusken Raider inspired elements really add a lot to the overall menace of the Sith Stalker armor.

Yeah, Jango Fett is honestly a big part of why I think AotC is underrated. He had a really cool aesthetic especially in the Kamino scenes
Yeah I thought the same when I watched it a few weeks ago - but just like Boba it's undercut by the way he just goes out like a chump.
Yeah, I wish he could have ended on a better note. He does have a cooler fight scene vs. Obi Wan than what Boba got in the movies, but unlike Boba he probably isn't going to be revisited/redeemed
Galactic Marines are so cool looking. Wish we got to see them in TCW show

I'll say it, the Sith Troopers are pretty dope looking and a better look progression of the stormtrooper than the vanilla FO troopers. The First Order should have incorporated more red in their designs to stand apart more from the Empire.
They do look cool, too bad they just...didn't really behave any different from regular Stormtroopers

YeahI really liked that design. I thought they couldn't possibly reiterate further on the stormtroopers, but I thought this was a very cool form of heavy infantry version
