I guess chain establishments get a bad rap from people for various reasons...and while, yeah, they can be successful without actually being good, the reverse is also true. So what are your favorite examples of good chain establishments?

This may not be a chain, but Discount Tire Company are amazing and have always been the best company ever when dealing with tires. They've saved my ass numerous times in numerous ways.

For food...eh probably In N' Out and Five Guys. Truth to be told, I'm liking Smashburger more than Five Guys these days. Chic-Fil-A is also delicious, and I'll also thrown in my love for McDonald's Fries. Still my favorite french fries.

Tijuana Flats, Cracker Barrel, Village Inn, Souplantation/Sweet Tomatoes, Red Robin, and that's about it for me. I go for Mom and Pop for everything else.

I like Barnes & Noble. It's nice just to read a book there and sip some hot cocoa if it's not too crowded.

I like McDonald's. For better or worse when it comes to their food there's nothing out there like it. It's just...McDonald's.

Also, their coffee drinks are surprisingly good.

Not too big on chains but there are a couple solid spots I mess with. Wingstop is the go to chicken wing chain, imo. Whataburger and SuperChix (a better chick-fil-a) are staples too. Le Madeleine when I need a croissant.

Shit-tier food that I'll hit up every few months cause I get the craving: Taco Bell, Jack in The Box, Hooters.

My man. I wish there was one closer to Dallas and not all the way out in the burbs.

It's pretty rare I eat out at a chain restaurant (though I am bad at ordering food), but when I do i've got a soft spot for Five Guys, A&W, and Wendy's.

Does Hampton Inn count? That is my favorite hotel chain I think. Best "ritzy" feel for the price.
DSW often times has good prices on last-year's model running shoes if you get them at the right time.
Bought our Mattress from Mattress Firm and they were great. That might be specific to that location, though.

Glad to see this thread. I always feel like they get too much of a bad rep JUST because they're chains. I do try to go to more local Mom and Pop places these days though.

Wendy's (always get solid service, love their chicken)
BJs (Huge, varied menu. High quality)
In-N-Out (always been a fan, there's none in my town though, so I haven't had a chance to go to one in ages)
Farmer Boys' (Great fish and chips for a fast food place,
Sonics (One just opened up in my town, never had it previously, and I have to say I'm impressed)

Can I add Hell's Pizza in New Zealand is all sorts of awesome

Olive Garden and Qdoba. Probably an unpopular opinion but I really enjoy both. The food and the dining experiences.

I like to joke since we moved from rural area to a real-ish city, we got a bit food elitist, but we still like Red Robin and Texas Roadhouse a lot.

For food, I like Moe's.

Barnes & Noble is a nice place to go as well. Obviously a great selection of books, and a pretty wide selection of board/card games as well. Also, it smells nice in there. I like the smell of books, and I like the smell of coffee, so there we have it.

Target- I spend way too much money at Target. I do basically all my non-perishable groceries there (it tends to be slightly cheaper), I buy all my home and hygine stuff from them, buy non-work clothing from them, and their clearance racks are where 90% of my "I don't need this but......" purchases in my life are made, from headphones to games to whatever

Shake Shack- Coming back from a vacation to the Bay Area and trying both Jack-in-the-Box and In-and-Out, I don't get how people think anything other than Shake Shack is the best fast food burger

Wawa- I don't think I can move to a state that doesn't have Wawa- which means I'm cursed to live the rest of my life in either Jersey, PA, DE, the DMV, or Florida

For me, it's Five Guys. It's not that their food is necessarily amazing, but it's good, consistent quality. Real beef, real potatoes, fresh every time. You don't get the feeling any part of your meal was engineered in a lab.

I'm not above getting a burger & fries at McDonalds, either, but it's not the same thing. I usually avoid Burger King after a "why am I eating this wet cardboard?" experience with their cheaper burgers.

Popeye's
In-N-Out
Panda Express
El Pollo Loco

That covers the major fast food groups, although I can't think of any pizza chains I like.
