Doesn't have to be ordered, I'm not expecting detailed analytics for this stuff lol. But most of you know what you're buying more than others items. Mine is below. Not ranked.

If you can mention how your using them so it's not a pure list thread, which are not allowed. That would be great.
  1. Eggs - workhorses for breakfast. Delicious. Easy to make. Versatile. I go through these like a madman.
  2. Milk - for coffee, cereal, and sometimes just drinking it.
  3. Chicken - Mostly thighs. Easy to cook and cheap protein source.
  4. Butter - cooking fat of choice.
  5. Broccoli/Cauliflower - kinda cheating lol. But I use these very interchangeably. Favorite veggies.

Olive oil
Garlic
Yellow onions
Canned tomatoes
Jasmin rice

I'm used to making tomato soup, bolognese, tacos/tortilla and pizza, hence the canned tomatoes, but the first three generally go with everything I make, whether I cook steak, make other soups, pot dishes, meatballs, stir fry, etc. Jasmin rice is usually my side dish for everything that isn't pasta, soup, stir fry, or pizza.

1. Pasta - I basically live off the stuff. I never get tired of it.
2. Eggs - like you said. I boil a bunch for fast eating for breakfast during the week, then I cook up real meals on the weekends. Best go-to breakfast.
3. Apples - my favorite fruit! ...though I'm a bit of a snob and picky about store-bought, I keep trying.
4. Hamburger - goes with lots of different recipes!
5. Neuro sleep drinks - ...I have difficulty falling asleep without them.

Garlic, onions, olive oil, chicken, rice

I got a bunch of seasonings but those tend to last awhile.

Chicken, garlic, onions, carrots and olive oil.

Onion is of course #1, almost every dish I make has some onion in it.

Onion, garlic, ginger, salt, and brown rice. Onion and garlic, especially - they're basically concentrated flavor and bring so, so much to the table.

Tomatoes
Pasta (of different varieties)
Cheese
Onions
Chicken

I tend to stick to a few different pasta-based one-pan type meals because that's about what I have energy to cook after work, so we end up having a lot of baked zitis, casseroles, that sort of thing when its my turn to cook.

I mean I buy salt once a year, but use it daily. I feel like I'm buying cumin every other month. Also oil.

But overall I get bored easily so I try to switch things constantly.

  1. Eggs - Breakfast, ingredients, baking, dinner sometimes
  2. Milk - I have kids...so it just flows at our house
  3. Green Beans - Kids love em raw or cooked, so we buy tons
  4. Peppers - See above
  5. Yogurt - We use it in recipes, smoothies, for snacks, breakfast, pretty much all day.

Adobo
Mike's Hot Honey & Garlic Hot Sauce
Sweet Soy Sauce
Butter
Milk

Seriously with the first 3 ingredients, I feel like I'm cheating when cooking. I can confidently compete with restaurant dishes.

Eggs
Kale/spinach
Sweet Potatoes
Peas
Peppers

I usually try to cook mostly vegetables, but I do get plenty of meat alongside it. When I'm eating elsewhere and having less greens it really bugs me.

If you're buying a lot of salt you might want to tone it down a bit.

Chicken
Onions
Tomato
Carrots
Potato

Eggs - same as you
Milk - mostly for making yogurt
Oats - for granola
Chicken - my main protein source atm
Pasta - fucking love pasta, is a no-brainer for chicken so making varied lunches through the week is just a matter of what pasta or sauce/seasoning I'm feeling (I guess pasta sauce would be a honorable mention here)

There's other stuff I use quite a bit like chickpeas, coconut oil, rice, lentils, garlic, cheese, nuts, etc. but I'm not buying them weekly like those five.

Salt?! How much salt do you go through that it's a regular shopping item?

Chicken
Rice
Eggs
Onions
Turmeric

Pretty much. Onions + Turmeric are standard in nearly all my chicken dishes. If you have access to barberries, you can add them to the rice to make zereshk polow ba morgh.

If you really wanna go fancy and splurge out on some saffron, you can make tahchin:
