I don't follow this guy very often, but I'm gonna assume he has the money and clout necessary to fuck off somewhere and retain security of his own. Just better not slip up in public, I guess.

So you wanna be a rock superstar,
live large, a big house, 5 cars, you're in charge
Rattin' out the whole world, don't trust nobody
Gotta look over your shoulder constantly

How useful is witness protection when you have a face and body as recognizable as his given all of his tattoos?

Oh god that's a terrible decision.

Sidenote: it's been kinda weird how snitching has been used online since this whole Tekashi thing blew up. Like you have a bunch of people online making fun of him for being a "snitch"... like we, if in the same position, wouldn't do the same thing. Like I don't know this for sure, but I feel most people making these "he's a snitch" type comments and stuff aren't from this culture where this kind of thing does matter. Does that make any sense? I've just found it annoying recently.

He's no doubt doing this to attempt to continue (salvage) his music career..problem is it won't matter if you're dead.

I think the thought process in takeshi's case is if you're involved in something illegal and only you get caught at least have the integrity to face the music by yourself without bringing those that didn't get caught down as well. He thought it was a game and now he's getting his do over leaving everyone else to rot.

With how snitches are seen in rap culture plus the image he's been cultivating the only way he's got any sort of career in music going forward is to completely change genres. I can just picture him getting on stage trying to rap about how hard he is while the crowd chants "snitch" until he drops the mic and runs off stage weeping into his hands.

Rap culture is now so tied to pop culture. You think these soft white kids are going to care that much? This isn't the early 2000s anymore. He could very much still have a successful run compared to his peers.

Yep, sadly this is right on.

It's an entirely different world..that said I still 100% believe his life will be in danger, especially in New York.

I think that the people making fun of it are making fun of it because we wouldn't be in 69's situation.

69 is a little boy who dived head first into full on Thug Life. Like, he's a whimp and a phony, but the real ass goons he surrounded himself with are not, nor is the actual trouble he got into.

He didn't mind hitting people up and getting involved in gang shit when it was contributing to his clout. But now he's facing real ass consequences...oh, he ain't no thug now. He in his, "judge I have a family" shit now. Shit's funny.

FUNNIER STILL are the old ass dudes, real gangsters who should know better getting swept up in this mess. Shotti all on TMZ. ALL These fools on Instagram and Snapchat. ALL THESE FOOLS telling their business over the phone! So real thugs are laughing too. What happened to moving in silence? TreyWay might as well change their name to Playskool at this point.

How in the world would a guy with tats like that ever go into hiding. Millions of potential people could recognize him. Hell im not even into rap and I'd recognize him. Plus he'd have to abandon his music career and I'm guessing he has nothing else to fall back on. He has no choice but to keep going forward.

Also, all the false keyboard bravado here is hilarious. "Snitches get stitches"...as if any of you would seriously not do anything possible to reduce or avoid jail time. Lots of hardened gangstas in here, lol

Dude would have to walk around in a burqa to not be recognized in public. Literally his name tatooed on his face.

Money? Probably.
Clout? Maybe.
Intelligence? Absolutely not.

If he was smart enough to fuck off somewhere, he would've been smart enough to not get himself in this situation to begin with.

We wouldn't be in the same position because we wouldn't join the Bloods for music video clout after dodging prison on a child porn charge.

Suburban white kids have been the main consumers of rap for decades. Get rich or die tryin came out in 2000. Doesn't matter how soft the consumer actually is. Nobody likes a phony. Nobody wants to be like a phony.

I mean, he's extremely identifiable. Will relocation and a name change help him? He'd need tattoo removal and everything else, lol.

Like everyone else said, he literally has his damn name tatted on his face. How would witness protection even work for him?

Yeah but I don't think he's smart enough to complete that process without getting got somewhere down the line.
