I don't follow this guy very often, but I'm gonna assume he has the money and clout necessary to fuck off somewhere and retain security of his own. Just better not slip up in public, I guess.
How useful is witness protection when you have a face and body as recognizable as his given all of his tattoos?
Yeah he's very much able to pay to go somewhere and stay quiet.

Sidenote: it's been kinda weird how snitching has been used online since this whole Tekashi thing blew up. Like you have a bunch of people online making fun of him for being a "snitch"... like we, if in the same position, wouldn't do the same thing. Like I don't know this for sure, but I feel most people making these "he's a snitch" type comments and stuff aren't from this culture where this kind of thing does matter. Does that make any sense? I've just found it annoying recently.

Dude's really about to dominate the charts upon release. This is fucking wild. And anyone who is saying his music career is done is out of touch with reality. His music career will only be done once someone guns him down.
I think the thought process in takeshi's case is if you're involved in something illegal and only you get caught at least have the integrity to face the music by yourself without bringing those that didn't get caught down as well. He thought it was a game and now he's getting his do over leaving everyone else to rot.
With how snitches are seen in rap culture plus the image he's been cultivating the only way he's got any sort of career in music going forward is to completely change genres. I can just picture him getting on stage trying to rap about how hard he is while the crowd chants "snitch" until he drops the mic and runs off stage weeping into his hands.

Rap culture is now so tied to pop culture. You think these soft white kids are going to care that much? This isn't the early 2000s anymore. He could very much still have a successful run compared to his peers.

How in the world would a guy with tats like that ever go into hiding. Millions of potential people could recognize him. Hell im not even into rap and I'd recognize him. Plus he'd have to abandon his music career and I'm guessing he has nothing else to fall back on. He has no choice but to keep going forward.
