Guardian Heroes is exactly what I thought of when I saw the trailer.

I played it this afternoon, seems fun. Like Golden Axe meets Diablo meets Darkest Dungeon.

That's the way 2d games with a lot of animations are these days. Frame by frame animation a la cuphead is a rarity nowadays due to the huge workload.

Combat looks too simplistic, i can see it becoming boring quite fast especially since as far as i saw it was 9 missions that doesn't seem to change that much when replayed outside of harder difficulty. I'm really hoping to be wrong though, because to me beat them up is an underused type of game that really offers a ton of potential.
Edit: Tried it, it's somewhat satisfying but too simple as i feared, doesn't seem like a good game to run with randoms because of the notoriety system and you losing it all whenever one party member leaves, which with randoms is bound to happen sooner than later. Also punished for random disconnects.

Well, this is out on consoles now (two days ago).

I love these kind of games and Blightbound looks ace, still game should have come to GP, nobody seems to be playing it even with crossplay.
