Internally & to investors they have said they expect the SN850 series to be PS5 compatible.

Officially it doesn't work until Sony says it does and WD have said nothing about it in marketing materials so far.

I think it may have a higher cache than, say, WD Blue series? Also the WD Black drives have sturdier chassis.
