It does have rtx on.
EDIT: Oddly he selects ray tracing on at the start and the bench at the end says it's off.
He doesn't apply the settings when turning ray tracing to Ultra.

Exactly. It's crazy that people always want ultra on everything if they aren't on the most powerful gpu currently on the market. High and optimal settings are more ideal in this day and age. I saw the optimal settings vid for RDR2 by Hardware Unboxed as well." you don't understand, he is running this on a 3090, a 1.5k graphics card. The best card today, and this game isn't even next gen. it looks good don't get me wrong, but I know my 2080ti won't be able to handle this, so I'm not gonna bother playing it. "You don't have to ultra everything" I'm sorry I have to. And if I can't I won't play. That's just me. "
lmao random comment on youtube. this is also what some of you sound like
have any of you guys seen the "optimal settings for rdr2" pc videos? you dont have to ultra fucking everything. turn down a few settings here and there and you cant notice any difference and you have your 4k60 and your best looking version, still. so your clouds wont be as fluffy. big deal.
If it's like Watch Dogs 2 then it'll take the performance even further!!!Yeah, this looks like it can be tweaked to get 60fps with max RTX for sure. His settings aren't even max, there's "extra details" at 0%, whatever that is. Really pumped for this.
Ray tracing as well.I'll be playing this on an RTX 3080 at 1440p 144hz, so I think it'll do well for me.
I do think they could have pushed for 60 fps on consoles if they didn't focus on 4K. Such a waste of resources.

Yeah I meant to say tank but it's true. They should just start throwing in real random graphics options. "Other shit" at Ultra please!
Also, anyone know if the game supports Atmos? I need to move the PC and use the shorter HDMI 2.1 cable if so. Otherwise I'll just use the long cable and have the peasants 5.1.
I guess that answers why the console versions aren't getting a 60 FPS mode since a 3090 can barely do 60 with no RT.
WD 2 has one shadow option that completely destroys my 2080ti. Hybrid Frustum Traced Shadows, seems like the only game that has thatWell from NVidias guide on 2, it's a mere 16fps hit for extra details! For the privilege of seeing road markings from a mile away!
Another 2070 Super/3700x benchmark, Ultra settings with ray tracing turned on and DLSS on balanced

3080 gameplay, the drops into the 30s are expected...i'd be shocked if I didnt see the OPs benchmarks.
With DLSS turned off a whopping 9fps
True, but it does give a good indication that it's a pretty demanding game and that not every 4K30+RT game will have a 60 FPS mode just by turning off RT and going to a dynamic 4K or lower res.also, console versions will be a mixture of medium/high settings. and sometimes, low.
this is not a 1:1 comparison and never will be.
DLSS is also on too even for 1080p.So an easy 1080p/60fps with Max ray tracing on Turing GPUs. I see nothing with which to be disappointed, assuming the real game reflects the benchmark and it completely fugazi like Horizon Zero Dawn's.
The videos are gone but something has to be bugged there, no way can a 3080 get 9fps and a 3090 get 30+ with 4K no dlss/ultra RTX. Either that or it's overflowing the 10GB buffer.

Seems to be an overflow as the results say the VRAM usage is greater than 10 GB on the 3090The videos are gone but something has to be bugged there, no way can a 3080 get 9fps and a 3090 get 30+ with 4K no dlss/ultra RTX. Either that or it's overflowing the 10GB buffer.
Yup. As always, there will be two or three settings you can drop from "ultra" to "high" and gain 10-20fps for next to no loss in fidelity.everyone will proceed to act shocked that a ubisoft open world game with tons of graphical options runs poorly fully maxed out
It does have rtx on.
EDIT: Oddly he selects ray tracing on at the start and the bench at the end says it's off.
Yeah. This is why buying new pc components every year just isn't appealing to me. Games aren't really well optimized, even for the best hardwareChrist! On a 3090?! No wonder it's 30fps on next gen consoles still.

RT was on Ultra, of course DLSS had to be in play.
internal resolution at Ultra Performance DLSS should be 720p.Good Lord. Ultra performance DLSS and RTX Ultra gives them 71fps avg.
What internal resolution is that sub-1080p?
Also said tester had reduced settings to play the game and was still not getting locked 60 FPS:
Yep, exactly. Without DLSS I seriously can't imagine what the performance would be like with ray tracing on ultra at 1080p with that card, I imagine that it won't end well.RT was on Ultra, of course DLSS had to be in play.
RTX 2070 is a 1080p card with RT maxed, that is realistic.
Most games will 'allocate' based on the available VRAM, not really indicative of what they actually need. Still, a game requiring more than 10GB of vram from Ubisoft? Yeah a possibilitySeems to be an overflow as the results say the VRAM usage is greater than 10 GB on the 3090
I have a 2080 and a 1080p display, so I'll be able to bench sans-DLSS on launch day.Yep, exactly. Without DLSS I seriously can't imagine what the performance would be like with ray tracing on ultra at 1080p with that card, I imagine that it won't end well.
Nice, I can't wait to see how it'll run on your rig.I have a 2080 and a 1080p display, so I'll be able to bench sans-DLSS on launch day.
Yep, that's what I do a lot for PC gaming. High with some medium settings are a safe bet.half the fun for me is tweaking the settings to get a good image with good fps
