This guy was first profiled by the Guardian, being involved with a far right group, now this 108 page report details the representative to multiple instances of domestic terrorism.

Hope he rots in jail, but not sure with this go

OLYMPIA — State Rep. Matt Shea planned and participated in domestic terrorism against the United States before and during the armed takeover at Malheur National Wildlife Refuge, an investigation commissioned by the Washington state House found.

The 108-page report found that beginning in November 2015, Shea, working with militia leader Ammon Bundy, helped "in the planning and preparation" of the Malheur takeover, a six-week conflict in which dozens of armed protesters occupied the refuge in rural Eastern Oregon. The standoff ended after one protester was shot and killed and dozens were arrested.

"Representative Shea, as a leader in the Patriot Movement, planned, engaged in and promoted a total of three armed conflicts of political violence against the United States Government in three states outside the state of Washington over a three-year period," according to the report released Thursday. "In one conflict Representative Shea led covert strategic pre-planning in advance of the conflict."

Immediately after the report was released, Rep. J.T. Wilcox, the Republican minority leader of the House, said Shea "has been suspended from any role in the House Republican Caucus."

Edit: Earlier Report how Shea wanted to start a Holy War

I wouldn't be surprised if a bunch of GOP politicians were involved in stuff like this to some extent.

A Republican being a white supremacist terrorist?

No. Say it isn't so.

The US political system only has two parties (to my knowledge), not like there are a lot of options on what you can be.

In a random European country, he probably would have been running a small nationalistic party.

Not really, even 10 years ago this type of person wouldn't be part of the mainstream Republican party he would be in a fringe group with no power in US government. Now you can be a terrorist and still be completely welcome in one of the two major parties.

Wow. That's some serious shit. In a sane world, this guy would've been removed from office and thrown under the jail years ago.

Welcome to America. These guys led an armed resistance, annexed a federal building, while holding an entire town hostage for a month before the feds finally decided to do something. You can't even get minorities to gather in one place without batons, riot shields, and tear gas preemptively being taken out.

Honestly I'm surprised that the WA house republicans are even doing anything about it.

From the article on him, I hate that he wasn't ya know, fired when this came to light:

Shea, a six-term legislator and military veteran, came to international attention in 2018 after a document he authored surfaced laying out a "biblical basis for war", which appeared to be a plan for an apocalyptic battle with people who practiced "same sex marriage" and "abortion", and instructed: "If they do not yield, kill all males."

Shea denied that the document meant what it appeared to say.

At that time, Shea lost donors, and he was stripped of his role as chair of the Republican caucus – though he was serving in this position at the time of the leaked chat

How is this not a bigger story than it is ... This is literally the shit they wrongly (and quite dangerously) accuse Omar of.

Idaho Rep Heather Scott also mentioned in the report

Her code name: greenbean. Her assigned task during "Operation Armed Backyard": Identify Patriot bail bondsmen.

These are among the more than a dozen references to North Idaho state Rep. Heather Scott, R-Blanchard, in a 100-page investigative report prepared for the Washington House of Representatives on one of its members, Republican Rep. Matt Shea, whose eastern Washington district in Spokane County abuts Idaho.

The damning report found that "Shea participated in an act of domestic terrorism against the United States."
